RaboDirect HISA Earn 4%pa on up to $50k Increase to Current Overall Rabo Balance Until 30-Jan-15

51

Great news! As a thanks for being a RaboDirect customer we're offering you a loyalty variable rate of up to 4.00%p.a.* on 'new money' up to $50,000 until 30/01/2015.

To start earning this new rate all you need to do is:

  • deposit up to $50,000 of 'new money' into your High Interest Savings Account (HISA)
  • increase your combined balance as a result of 'new money' deposited

The loyalty variable rate is subject to change at any time and does not apply to 'On Behalf of' accounts.

What is 'new money'?

We looked at the combined balance of each of your accounts (e.g. HISA, Purpose Saver, PremiumSaver, Notice Saver and Term Deposits) at midnight 07/10/2014. 'New money' is anything you deposit into your High Interest Savings Account (from another bank) which increases this combined balance.

So, as long as you increase your combined balance, 'new money' deposited into your High Interest Savings Account will earn the loyalty variable rate of up to 4.00% on up to $50,000. It's probably worth saying for the record, you can't move money from one of your sparkly RaboDirect accounts to another to get the loyalty variable rate.

*Loyalty variable rate offer is only for customers who joined RaboDirect before 1 October 2014. It applies to up to $50,000 of 'new money' deposited into your HISA. Rates (including the loyalty variable rate) are subject to change at any time. The loyalty variable rate offer starts 8 October 2014 and ends on 31 January 2015 and does not apply to On Behalf of accounts. The 4.00% Loyalty rate applies to personal customers (individual and joint). Other rates apply to trusts, DIY Super and Businesses.

Not sure why it's a deal, may be I'm missing something, but usaver ultra is paying 4.17% for balance 250k n under. Only drawback is you have to park 500bux in a tnx acc earning no interest.

      you can ajust to $100.

    • Yeah Ubank seems highest for up to $250k or RAMS 4.01% upto $500k and $200 p.m deposit required if you have more than $50k saved from all your OzB savings made and need to park it. And the rates are ongoing.

      • both ubank and rams require $200/mth deposit :(

      • Ubank is $200k max.

        1. Maintain a total balance of not more than $200,000 including USaver and USaver Ultra, inclusive of all joint accounts. If the balance of all of your accounts combined is more than $200,000, you will only get the USaver standard variable rate applied in the following month.

ie you'll only get base rate 3.11% not 4.17%

4.45% with ME Bank up to 250k (if you got in before 4 July)

But I can't get that now. So not relevant? In the 80s you could get 18% on term deposits.

        • -8

It's relevant to me, because :-P
(and nobody liked banks in the 80s)

  • The 50k limit is hardly anything.

  • bonus rate on Rabo is only 3.8% for SMSF and trusts. Does anyone know of better deals for SMSF and trusts? Most good bonus interest deals like the UBank, ME Bank and RAMS are only for personal customers.

  • me, ingdirect or ubank are better
