    Isn't this always free?

It's been posted before and it doesn't expire…

  • There should be a section in the wiki for deals that are always free.

    This is not a bargain…

After a day or two, it will disappear from the first couple of pages and won't be seen.

If there is a dedicated section, people are more likely to use this offer throughout the year…

Careful, you'll get an off topic complaint

          @jv: I hope so!

    • If there is a dedicated section, people are more likely to use this offer throughout the year…

That's the purpose of the Long running deals page.

      • That's fine, but a wiki entry is probably more appropriate for items without end dates.
They are not really 'deals' as you can buy them at that price any time.

They are probably more similar to things like the "List of Birthday deals/freebies"

      • Your link is also showing 'expired' deals…

        • Fixed thanks.

  • i reckon they should make this possible on young kids too (before the negs flow in I have a kid of my own so…)

  • Just a quick note. These are NOT metal dog tags.

    https://www.petregister.com.au/tags/article/about_our_free_p…

Further it does not appear to comply with the NSW Companion Animals Act

    http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/nsw/consol_act/caa1998174…

"12 Dog to wear collar and tag

    (1) A dog must have a collar around its neck and there must be attached to the collar:

        (a) a name tag that shows the name of the dog and the address or telephone number of the owner of the dog,"

Not sure about other states. I didn't look long but couldn't find similar for Victoria, and didn't look at other states.

    • I'm sure the judge will forgive you

      • I have had both of my dogs returned via these tags when they had metal tags, council tags, micro chips and pet register tags. Every time it was the pet register that got in touch with me and returned my dogs. Council dont care as long as you shut up and pay your rates.

Because of the success i have had with these tags, i always urge everyone else i know who has a dog to get them and i donate to them every year even though my dogs are long since past…

        • Interesting. Would be even more interesting to know if many lose their dogs despite microchip + tag with phone number. It may just be that council find it easier to let the register deal with the task if one of these tags is present.
