Amazon.com No Longer Shipping Electronics+Other Items to Australians??

I tried adding a bunch of items and when I checkout it says "No longer shipping to Australia"..

Anyone get the same issue?? Apparently its enabled on all countries outside the US and some guy said he contacted a rep and reply is as follows:

"I contacted Amazon and they replied that due to warranty and legal restrictions, they have limited the delivery destinations for some products.The following types of items can’t be shipped to buyers outside the U.S.: video games, toy and baby items, electronics, cameras and photo items, tools and hardware, kitchenware and housewares, sporting goods and outdoor equipment, software, and computers. OMG!"

    Yeap, encountered error when trying to check out the Koss headphones. It was able to be shipped earlier this week, now no longer.

    Does this also apply to digitally delivered games as well?

    Yeah I had the same problem, I weanted to order these Sennheiser Headphones http://www.hifigear.co.uk/sennheiser-hd800-audiophile-qualit… and now they are not available. What's the problem?

    I really hope this is temporary.. I hate to think what we would have to pay for some electronics without them.

    Yup, fml… I had an $800 order ready to go yesterday morning; external HDD's, PSU, SSD, router, etc, etc - Went through the checkout to check the shipping cost and make sure everything was able to be shipped and everything was good.
    Didn't end up buying cos I was waiting for a friend to get back to me about if they wanted me to buy an external hdd for them or not.

    Later that night I was ready to place the order, went through checkout, then BAM! Absolutely %#$@ing everything suddenly can't be shipped. All items are marked with the error message:

    "Sorry, this item can't be shipped to your selected address. Learn more. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order."

    I'm really pissed off… I was planning to make another big order for pc parts next week as well.

    Even a simple SATA cable now can't be shipped.. Everything in the Electronics section sold by amazon has been restricted.

    Just tried the German & French Amazon & they say the same, darn was looking forward to Thanksgiving price drops.

    WOOOOhooo it's back. Holly smokes, I really thought they changed their policy for good… I mean its bad for our local retail stores, but good for consumers.

      They're all roughly the same since they use the same carriers. Shipito and Comgateway have a fairly reliable reputation around here.
