For everyone to be aware of something about "water resistant"
I have a Guess "200 Meter water resistant" watch. I called and confirmed with them if I can take it diving up to 18 meters and they said "no, the rating on the watches is different, this watch is only water resistant for shallow SNORKELING depending on how old the watch is"
"For diving you require more of 500 meters or more"
The rating doesn't represent the actual water depth, but the overpressure water test performed on the watches.
In other words, 200meters would mean 20ATM
So this could be good enough for recreational scuba (upto 18 meters) only, no more

bloody annoying, order still hasn't been sent and no reply to my query from yesterday as to why.
I called their customer service. Here is what the rep told me.
"There was an issue with that sale. It was "Leaked" to another webpage and got over sold. We are trying to locate more stock. You will be notified via email within 24 hours regarding the status of your order".

How rediculous. It is an advertised sale item and they hardly have any stock. Im sick of retailers not following through with orders and taking far too long to notify customers.they should be able to source more stock.
I rang every store i could and they were sold out. online purchase was also unavailable. I rang Rays Outdoors and asked them to price match and they said the BCF deal was in Red and Black watches which they don't stock but they would do it for the green or blue they do. Picked mine up yesterday. Personally i think the green looks better.

Tried calling rays castle hill. Was told BCF 7900 was a clearance item and they cant price match it. When asked about the Green and Yellow watch, they mentioned that was not the same model but a higher model and cannot be price matched.
Rays and BCF are both part of the same retail group so not surprised they price match. They should offer this as an alternative as well, though I prefer the black.

Unbelievable! That link was working when she asked me check if I'd like that as a replacement.

I opted out and asked for a refund. She even gave me a reference number.
Now the link does not work. I opted for the refund based on the CSRs reply only to find that they are getting more stock.
I just cannot believe it.
I called again. They guaranteed there was no stock of 7900 and nothing on back order and no chance of getting a G7900. The replacement model is DW9052-1.
At this point, all I care is getting a refund. I have not received any of the update emails as well. I have wasted enough time with this mob and paid more in time, not worth it.
I have to mention, the lady I spoke to was confused herself. She first said, emails would be sent. Then she said emails have already been sent to those who accepted promotional emails. In the end, I was wasting so much time not getting anywhere with this lady, I decided to ask for a refund to save even more time. Maybe next time a similar deal might come along.
shocking online service. no response to my inquiry which was sent 48 hours ago and still no update on the order. absolutely hopeless.
Finally, i got someone from BCF to answer my call. And the lady was very kind and helpful. After i told her the situation, she did some order checking. Then told me the watch was out of stock. And they were told that the order will be fulfilled by 'giving out a much better one instead'. But unfortunately, she can not get any information about the watch which will be sent out. She could only be sure about that the price should be $129. So she personally thought it gonna be a much better watch. And the other staff are busy replying the inquiry of this deal. There are more than 200 orders need to be fixed. So it gonna take a while to get reply from the customer service staff. Based on the call, we should be reached by an email to ask whether we would like to get refund or get the $129 watch instead.

Agreed, that replacement they're offering is a big downgrade.
They really should be upgrading rather than downgrading if they can't supply the original watch….

I just received the email. But i realized the photo they provided and shown on their website should be G9000 instead of DW9052-1. Am i right? If it is G9000, the replacement could be defined as 'ok'. Amazon sells G9000 for US$65.24, but the DW9052-1 is just US$39.51.
I received email as well and I was so pissed off, they can't even get the model and picture alligned and again misleading customers in the counter offer as well. What a joke this company is.
Well.. after I cancelled my order and asked for a refund, I got a call saying they are getting more stock of G7900 and hence they are not cancelling my order. However at around 8PM I also get an email saying they are out of stock on G7900 and offering DW9052-1 as the "upgrade" option or refund.
Now thats a Joke, after asking for refund twice. Wasted so much time trying to buy a "watch", it better be a damn good one to have lost so much "time"..

seems like you guys got a different email to what I and a few others got. They are sourcing stock of the G7900 Black that we ordered from their distribution centre, and they will be sending them on Monday. They must have only had a few left.
I would prefer a refund to that alternative watch you are being offered, its cheap on Amazon.

I know that it's cheap on amazons but in terms of a comparison, is it a much more inferior product compared to the G7900?
I personally wouldn't be happy with the downgrade… Although I suppose it comes down to what feature set you require.

Yeah, DW9052-1 is not a comparable watch to original one, they should be offering higher model as an apology to the customer base, not the other way around. Will have t wait what they come back with to my email.

By default it only shows orders made in the past week. You can change it on the drop down menu.

Got that last night, its coming from Epping in Melbourne by Couriers Please.
Received my watch today even though it was stock they had to source after they ran out! That means 2 day delivery ? Damn quick. But disputed it didn't come in a tin box that I had seen others have online but still happy! The manual is as big as the watch!
I just asked my mate about the packaging. He is a g shock enthusiast so I'd say he's a reliable source.
According to him the black box is the most common packaging. The tins are usually reserved for limited edition watches. Tins are a good indicator whether the gshock is fake or not.

i have about 9 g-shocks and most of them came in a metal box. One that didnt was a Globe X G-Shock colab (that i got through a deal on here)
Mine also arrived, no tin just Gshock black box. Cool watch. Does anyone else's make a high pitched whine when you turn the backlight LED on? I'm guessing it's normal

Man I stayed at home all day waiting for Couriers Please and they did not come. Went out tonight and came back and checked my letterbox and my watch was there. Checked tracking and the courier signed my name himself at 8:02pm. Hmm. But happy to finally receive watch :)
Just wanted to say thanks to the OP for this deal! I ended up getting 2 of these watches, one for me and one as a gift.
It's a great looking and high quality watch and I know I could never have done better for the price.
Had been looking around at a watch for a gift but couldn't find the right one at the right price, so this turned out great. I also didn't have a digital watch for outdoor stuff including underwater etc, just an aging analogue that's really just for walking around, so again it turned out great, even though I wasn't looking for one at the time, I had to get one for me too!
