Comfortable Protection from Hazardous Noise
The Howard Leight Sync Stereo Earmuff blocks noise in industrial or other environments with low to medium hazardous noise levels.
With an NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) of 25, the Sync provides consistent hearing protection, which means you'll enjoy a safe amount of attenuation even when you're surrounded by potentially harmful levels of noise.

Plug in and Go for Easy Operation
A standard 3.5-millimeter headphone jack allows Sync to be used with PCs and
portable audio devices.
The Sync is free of volume knobs, power switches, and batteries. Volume and power are controlled via your personal audio device, so all you have to do is plug in your device and listen.

I've seen a few youtube "fail" videos. Apparently these headphones may block the noise, but don't block the semi-trailer running you over when you don't have that situational-awareness

I find that some people don't have that awareness even with full hearing, but fair comment.

      • Isn't that called evolution?

        • No, it's called natural selection.

  • These would be great for the long flight….

    • Probably not great for resting/sleeping on long flights unless you have rocks in your head because they squeeze tightly on your ears/head. Got a pair from the last deal out of curiosity and they do block noise.

  • Hmm- not convinced. I use Peltor hearing protectors when mowing. They have a higher NRR than these, but to block out the mower with music I'd have to pump up the volume pretty high. I wouldn't even if I could.

  • I have some of their active earpro which also has a 3.5mm input jack, and I have to say that even when powered it's no good for listening to your iPod.

Just wear your earbuds underneath a normal set of earmuffs.

    • @coxymla,
Many of the powered earmuffs, including the am/fm radio earmuffs, have built in "safety" volume limiter into the electronics to cripple the audio output but it's set too low for when you're surrounded by a lot of noise like mowing, drilling, jack-hammering etc.

I've got a pair, bought to try to block the sound of kids whilst working :) Sound quality is pretty good I think. Mine were $50 delivered. well worth the $27 ish in this deal. Think they'd be too tight to wear for a long flight, you'd be better with noise cancelling ones.

  • au$27.29 so almost same price as au$26.27 deal 3 months back on these

      @brucefromaustralia,
Yes, they're back down to the low price and are able to be shipped to OZ again at that price.

  • Cheers got one. Last time I mowed used ordinary earmuffs with mp3 player and earphones underneath which was fairly uncomfortable. These will also be great for getting work done around the house and not hearing the kids screaming and fighting WIN!
