    Relay: 3A/125VAC

Won't be useful here without a transformer

That will be what the relay is rated too, based on the description can still be used as what I assume is a normally open contact or for 12v.
Would be prefect for someone who has a garage door motor but no remotes/ multiple garage door motors but wants one remote

with no rolling codes i wouldn't use it on garage doors

Sorry Noone, not really true as they can still switch plenty via 12VDC up to 3A. The receiver runs on 12V anyway so depending on the project you can just give the relays the same 12V feed and send 12V off to whatever you want to activate.

I've used loads of these on various projects with great success. Switching 12V LEDs on and off is one basic example.

  • Can this be used in garage door? I have old garage remote system, the remote is getting old and will die soon. Replacement will cost over $80 because it requires a new receiver to be attached to the old one.

Yes, it will work fine however as per M9s comment above it has no rolling codes so it's nowhere near as secure as a proper commercial unit.

Thanks SteveAndBelle, My old remote system B&C MPC1 most likely has no rolling codes anyway. The remote has dip switches.

  • Hi rep,

I recently bought some stuff from newfrog and quite happy with the service.
I was just wondering if you'll have sales on LED torches? I mean BIG ones. Bigger physical size, bigger lens and LED bulb. :)

  • REP, Do you just sell the remote controllers only?

    • Hey skinny,

what do you mean?:)This one comes with a Receiver.

  • No C-tick…

    • Only an issue if you are looking to resell them here. Personal use purchased from overseas is fine and legal - as long as frequency is legal.
