    What about Wish gift cards?

  • Can this be stacked with their Price Beat policy?

    • " Cannot be redeemed with any other offer. "

      • -4

The price promise is more of a policy and not an offer imo. I couldn't use the 10% on the docket and the price promise because they said it was an offer. I disagreed.

Alternatively I tried buying cards and getting a discount with the docket, as the docket clearly stated 'excluded WISH gift cards' if you goo online or in-store, they clearly have wish gift cards, and the store gift cards, which have nothing about wish written front or back.

        Idiots. Run a promotion right.

    • +2

Unfortunately, I cannot answer this. I work for Woolworths Ltd (Big W) so your best bet is hopefully someone who works at Masters can shine some light on your question.

      Sorry >_<

edit: Ah, there you go, plmko answered it. Thanks :)

  • +5

They currently have up to 50% off a large range of their outdoor blinds and awnings (even better with another 10% if still on sale Thursday)…installed some over the weekend:

    https://www.masters.com.au/masters/search/masters_search_res…

  • wonder if they price match there own items for the 30 day price guarantee, purchased a $300 tool box on Saturday wonder if I would beable to to the 10% discount purchase price back

    • If you return it and buy it again, maybe.

  • +6

as per previous masters codes, no need to print this out (probably won't scan at the checkout either) if you use self-serve checkout. just punch in the barcode numbers: 9344776969705

    • IS it ok for anyone to use this barcode? Are there gonna be any issues because of the billing details differing from the Wow employee discount details? Cheers!!

      • +1

        It's a generic barcode

        • I just tried it online and it seems to be working. 20% discount on a samsung fridge!! I was told earlier today by the staff at Masters that the employee ID used towards this additional discount will need to be shown at the time of pick up.
What happens in this case? If it is a generic bar code would they still ask for some employee ID?
Sorry I'm a little clueless about this and want to make sure before place an expensive order:S

          Cheers! :D

        • +1

@Traveller107: the extra 10% on Samsung appliances regards to woolworths employees only. That's why in order to get the full 20% on that fridge, you'll need to have a staff discount card. If not, you'll only get 10%

  • +2

just a heads up. master is no longer doing 10% price match after this month. so buy what ever you have to now =)

    • did they ever give it? i certainly tried very hard and with over an hour at a store speaking to several people and two calls to the call centre. i never got them to price match the cement mixer (which bunnings did no questions) but they did give me a $25 gift card and appology after i wrote a letter.

      • I price matched a few times and got the 10% discount.
Once was with Stan Cash in Melbourne for a washing machine, saved over $100.
Second was with Costco when I just showed a photo of the product and price.

Though it sounds like they may be starting to tighten up.

      • +1

I find the other way around. Staff at Masters are more willing to price match (& beat it by 10%), I did save hundreds for price matching an air-con. Those in Bunnings always try to find all kind of funny excuses to refuse price match.

    • +1

      Go to Bunnings instead then!

  • -2

omfg time to get a brand new laundry!

  • Never Mind - deal hasn't started yet

  • Can it be used on Dyson dc59? Good price if discounted.

    • It's defiantly not excluded in the t&cs so I think you're good to go :)

      • +2

Definitely is definitely spelt definitely. Definitely not defiantly.

        • +1

Common autocorrelation (autocorrect) that the skimming brain registers as the correct word.

        • +2

He/she could have been making a point that it's 'defiantly' (like really really without doubt 100% undoubtedly) not excluded in the T & Cs.

  • +1

Good deal, but the Eneloop Quick Battery Charger AA 4pk is $50 now, up from $30 :(

Wasn't expecting price to be bumped up by $20.

    • +2

It's the Good Guys all over again

  • +1

Cool. Time to get some cheap cable… or maybe not… (http://www.masterbuilders.asn.au/building-and-planning/indus…) :-)

  • thanks..

  • +2

10% discount frequently comes up in Woolworths dockets, almost feels like you are paying 11% premium when not using a coupon.

    • +1

not to mention the slightly less frequent 15% off coupons, even 20% off some goods like power tools, plants and paint. i only buy from masters if i have a coupon

  • 10% price beat policy is here to stay
They will stop beating the prices for appliances ONLY & revert to just matching the price.

This voucher cannot be used with price match as same T&C's apply as in staff card policy which states that no further discounts apply if an item has been price matched

    • Not quiet true. I bought Turf rolls from Masters last weekend. price matched with Bunnings then I used the Woolies 10% off coupon. woolies discount was applied to price matched amount on top i.e. close to 20%.

I also bought an aircon price matched to an online store, but discount was not applied. probably because discount didn't apply to apppliances so only got the 10%.

      i.e. you can stack.

      • You must have got someone especially nice as this normally doesn't occur.

  • +23

I work at Bunnings. We got a memo sent from head office today telling us to match the masters price for all sale items and then beat it by a further 10%. We are only authorised to do it when a customer asks us to. We aren't allowed to offer it freely.

Works out dirt cheap! Don't forget to ask for your potential 20% off at Bunnings this Thurs-Sun!

    • I don't normally see brands sold at both stores..

Can anyone provide some popular examples?

      • +1

Some examples are things like Bosch tools, Dremel tools and Cabotts deck paint.

      • pryda, hpm

    • +2

This rivalry is all getting to be too exciting for me……..hyperventilating already

    • +8

I contacted bunnings about this, here is their reply

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the Masters 10% off promotion.

Bunnings has a price matching policy whereby if you find a cheaper stocked item then will be beat that price by 10%. You will need to obtain the Masters price first and if possible bring the price with you or a copy of the catalogue it is advertised in. If this is the same as the Bunnings product we will match it and take 10% off in accordance with our policy.

That is far from matching the 10%

      • +6

Why the neg, this response is in writing from Bunnigns head office?

This site is full of assholes. I went to extra effort and post that here and get slagged off for it because it's not what you want to hear.

        • +5

I think some don't understand the +- is about your effort/contribution, not the message.
I appreciated your post very much hey :)

        • Bunnings has been around longer, it's always Bunnings for me -since the day I was born. However, since the Masters deal seemed quite appealing (10% off) I walked into Masters first time yesterday. Folks, I'd like to report that I got my microwave at 10% off, but unbeknown to me, and surprisingly, Masters has not yet been accepted into the Rewards scheme (Woolworths) to register award points - I assumed I would get to scan my Rewards card. They say it's still a half half deal with Woolworths and all Masters stores will not scan the Rewards card. Is this correct? Was quite disappointed of course.

      • I specifically went to a store and asked them about matching Masters' 10% off and get additional 10% but after asking couple of workers over there inc cashiers, they said that they will only price match their normal price and not their sales price. what a bull!!

    • Thank you for this. I was going to buy the Strip Heaters at $498 each this weekend from Bunnings, after I saw this thread I noticed Masters stock the same brand, and walked out of Bunnings paying $404 each!

Bunnings had no issue matching the Masters with the 10% and then beat that by a further 10%. Great result!

    • my local Bunnings refused to pricematch

  • -2

master's sell toolbox? need one from bunnings to store my camera and lenses.

    • +10

      master's sell toolbox?

Nah. They only sell clothes and haberdashery.

      • +1

        Haha Thanks for the laugh

  • +2

Wait so Bunnings can price match the masters 10% after discount, then beating it an additional 10%? Am I missing something here?

  • Things like drills etc will possibly be something that they would be able to price match and beat at Bunnings.

    • thats if they have the same stock, you wont be able to find a makita at masters

  • If I use the promo code on Thursday morning exactly after midnight , do you think it will work, or is it too early? Am desperate for something don't want it to sell out - they won't hold for me. It's an expensive product and other stores would jump at the chance to hold it, given my sincerity to purchase. Wonder why.

    • Sounds interesting, what's the item??, I promise I wont tell anyone

      • +1

Is it the deeds to the business?

        • nah….just a high end microwave. Maybe not considered expensive to some, but it's not a drill bit either.

  • Good. ..was thinking to buy a 2.4m aluminum ladder double sided. Hope to find a good deal there. Thanks Op.

  • Code did not work on a fridge I was waiting to save the extra on bah!

    • hasn't started yet..?

      • Haha thanks tdw prior to your post I realized and am trying to remove my post… can't remove it no edit button! !!

  • Hi,

I am just trying to work it out, will I will be able to double dip on the discounts on this one.

i.e. get 10% off on price matching as well as 10% off from this promotion ?

I have a fridge in mind, I would be saving a fortune if I can do it !

    Anybody can confirm ?

    • I believe that they've now removed the 10% price beat for appliances. They'll price match only. YMMV though.

    • +1

You probably can if you have a friend working at WW buy it for you and if the fridge is a Samsung. There 20% off for staff on all Samsung appliances

      • Thanks for that, I don't have a friend who works for WW.

My plan was to get them to price match + 10%, but it seems from the links that they are no longer doing this for appliances, but even if they price match then 10% off that would be still awesome. But I am not sure if anyone had success in that.

  • Must..resist….
    Just got paid yesterday :(

  • +1

Not sure if it's been pointed out, it's similar to the AMEX (Dan Murphy) deal running but for holders of an AMEX "Charge Card" instead.
    http://i60.tinypic.com/2v7ts92.jpg

Spend $200 get $50 back = 25% off (limited to first 500 cardholders, may have expired)
Use your Trade Member Card = 5% off
    Shop between 16th-19th = $10% off

All should play together nicely, provided you are one of the first 500 card holders, which may have expired now I'm not sure, I'm no longer near a Masters store so I never bothered. I would have posted this deal earlier but it was hidden under paperwork :(

  • wow…I mean WOW!

  • Purchased an item last week, rang to get a price match to include there 10% off and they wont do it,,,grrrrrrr, yes I'm a tighta&*^%, could have made $40

    • From their returns policy: We will give you a refund where you have changed your mind providing you return the Product to us unopened in its original packaging with your Proof of Purchase.

So if it is unused, just take it back for a refund and purchase it again with 10% off.

      • I did read that aswell, what I purchased is well and truly used and the dog pretty much ate the box, I should have shopped at ttg's

        • +6

yeah.. but can't you buy the item again, and immediately return that brand new item on the old receipt?

        • +1

          @Stitchy:

lol epic idea, shall give it ago

        • +1

          @warmbeer05:

Grasshopper.. when you can take the pebble from my hand, and talk bunnings into accepting a refund on it, you may leave. :)

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWlJndr3BKE

        • @Stitchy: OMG, you mean people actually bother and have time to do that. I'm amazed. The thought of carting a heavy item back in its box…….

        • @momov3:

You mean carting it from the checkout register to the refunds desk? You wouldn't even need to take it out of the trolley.

        • @momov3:

$40 for 10mins 'work' (assuming he is driving by anyway) is 15 times the minimum wage.. or perhaps a wage earned moving heavier boxes for 2.5hours

  • May work with 2% cashrewards cashback. Worth a try.

    https://www.cashrewards.com.au/masters

  • Combine washer or dryer buys with the Samsung cash back (up to $500)

  • worked great. Got a dishwasher this morning from a Brisbane store i've been waiting for! paid online with discount, then click and collect in store.

    thanks OP

Dam, just bought a Samsung, bottom mount fridge! At 20% that would have been $879 (cringe) Bought it because it had one of the best energy efficiencys in its class, 3.5*. So relatively speaking it will be cheaper to run than the others. Not sure how it performs but a good contender for the Oz Bargainers fridge of the year. : )

    • +1

some places pricematch after you bought it.

      • Yeah, I bought my DC44 from Good Guys yesterday and got their price guarantee today.

        • ttg's policy is brilliant, these days i usually buy from them first

  • is Samsung 2.5/3.2kW Reverse Cycle Air Conditioner White AR5000 $896 before discount good enough?

    • With ACs the problem I found is installation cost. Here in Perth the norm seems to be $500. So same AC at regular price, but with subsidised installation can work out a better deal.

HN did this earlier this year, combined with $30 Amex cashback I got a Fujitsu for $1147 installed. Compare that to 80% of $896 = $716 + $500 installation = $1216. And you'd still only have a Samsung…

So this deal is not all that great.

      • thanks very much!

  • +3

add a further 33% off if u combine it with the Amex Dan Murphy 3x$50 Gift Card offer ..

    • ??????? what is the relationship with Master and Dan???

      • +1

Dan Murphy gift card is like a Wish gift card

        • -1

T&C exlcudes Masters GC but did no exclusion for Wish card

        • +2

@ahlala: ?.. I'm not asking u to buy a giftcard from Masters, I'm suggesting u use a giftcard obtained from another offer

        • @knackers:
          My bad…apologies

  • I want the dc59 at Bunnings, can someone confirm that Bunnings will match masters 10% and beating it further 10%?

    • +1

      Bunnings don't sell dysons

  • Hi, can you use this offer and pay using Wish Gift Cards?

Need a reliable answer before I load up!

    • Yes

  • joondalup store got evacuated this afternoon because of a fire.
left empty-handed so i'll have to make another trip there tomorrow

    • +7

Probably a ploy to get rid of those 10% off buyers so they sacrifise their own store lol

      • +1

        i lol'd so hard xD

would this work if i walked into every harvey normal store?

  • Can you use this on top of a price match (beat by 10%)?
