Fujifilm is having a $200 cashback (again?).

All lenses have a $200 cashback, but the 18mm seems to be the best deal for $100.

EDIT: Looks like cameraPro is changing the price. I feel like this is not a deal anymore.

  • Very nice find!

  • Great price. Nasty shipping to Melbs tho $22 for a little box.

    • I hate shipping as well…but at this price (after cashback) it is still a great overall deal

      • +1

Oh yes I agree but hey, this is Ozbaragin after all. Have emailed them to see if here are cheaper options.

        • ^^That is the Ozbargain spirit

  • Check stock. Does not say in stock.

    • In stock now

      • Said in stock for me just then, and I ordered.
But then got an email saying they are out of stock with a ETA of 3-7 business days.

  • The promotion says:
"Claims are limited to one claim per Eligible Product purchase."

  • Do you think this place eligible for the cash back:
    http://www.discountcameras.com.au/discountcameras/product_li…

    • Better find out from Fuji, because the T&C says:

      1. To be eligible to claim, an eligible individual must purchase one of the FUJIFILM XF Lens products listed in section 9 of these Terms and Conditions (“Eligible Products”) from an authorised Australian participating dealer/retailer during the period commencing 20th October 2014 and ending 24th December 2014 (“Promotion Period”).
    • Short answer is NO.

If you go to the link provided by the OP and look at the form there is a drop down menu with a list of "suppliers" that are participating in this promo

      • +1

But, there is "other" in the list and surely that means other authorized sellers but one needs to confirm with Fuji.

        • I missed the other field, it might be worth confirming with Fujifilm Australia to see if discountcameras.com.au is an authorised reseller and part of this promotion, they appear to be authroised resellers for the other major brands

  • Fantastic lens !!! Especially at that price…

  • +1

    I don't think its $100 after cashback.

On the page it says $289.00*

Then the * says "After Fujifilm Cashback"

So you pay $489 and get $200 back from Fuji, so it costs $289 + shipping.

    • Try adding one to your cart and see what it's charging you.

      • They have put the price up

        • +1

That's pretty dickish of them. $350 is standard for that lens from DigiDirect.

      • +1

        still $300

I think camerapro is changing it :)

        • Yes still $300 in cart but I think they are in the middle of changing it right now lol

    • Looks like they have caught on and the original price was an error

    • Agree, fine print says the price listed is final price. So it is 289 + shipping.

      • I was able to add one to cart for $300 still right now…so I guess they are in the process of upping their prices.

        • Cheers, I've done that and let's see if they will honor the price.

  • Can we use this lens with Canon 60D ?

    • Unfortunately not. This lens would have to sit INSIDE a Canon EOS camera to focus properly.

      • Thanks heaps. Much appreciated.

  • +2

Its $135+shipping at digidirect.. It's kinda a d$#k move to up prices once they know cashbacks are on offer..

    http://www.digidirect.com.au/camera_lenses/fujifilm/fujifilm…

    • you should post this as a seperate deal

      • +1

Yeah.. I did, probably worth highlighting again.. cheers..

    • Sure wish I bought a Fuji instead of the Sony A6000

      • +1

Why is that? Because of this?

        • Yeah, that and the battery life of the A6000 is soooo lackluster

  • +1

Just got this email from them. Will give me some additional time to consider this impulse buy and whether or not I should continue hahaha.

Thank you for ordering from CameraPro! Your order has been received however unfortunately the Fujifilm XF 18mm f/2.0 Lens is currently out of stock, with an ETA of 3-7 business days. Please let us know if the time frame is okay with you.
Please let us know what you wish to do, and we will have your order processed straight away, once we confirmed your order and shipping details with you.

    • Fingers crossed for you

    • I wasn't going to bother, but they upped their price and figured i'd never see that kind of lens for that cheap again, so decided to jump on it.. I just got that email as well but i'm in no hurry.. just glad to get it for $122 :)

    • Vladdo mentioned this on the new digidirect deal.

"Just bear in mind that cashbacks seem to be 30 days after the close of the promotion (so end of January 2015)."

      This might help you :P

  • Is this lens compatible with sony nex 6 ?

    • +1

      No, Fuji only.

  • Digidirect have raised their prices too.

    not cool for all players

if you are still after the 18mm on camera pro look for the buy link at the bottom of the 18mm page (it still adds it for 300 so you get 200 back)

    • ….and they're reading this thread because that link has been changed too

  • Says $115.00 + $15.90 (after cashback) with digidirect now

  • Anybody receive this?

  • +1

    I did on Monday.

  • +1

I got mine on monday as well..

  • I submitted my claim form the other day and got a reply saying that I can expect my claim will take up to 28 days to process. Wow.. much nicer than what I interpreted on their website that it was 28 days after the close of the promotion.

  • +1

Posting back here to confirm I got my 18mm for $300 and then cashback just came back today for the $200. nice to have gotten in when this was possible.

    $100 XF 18mm Unbelievable.

Also happy to report that for near focusing this thing is awesome, not bad bokeh at F2 either

  • Just got mine.
I think the box has been opened and rewrapped though. Its in plastic but wrapped with sticky tape like a birthday present, not shrink wrapped as you would expect.
How did you guys receive yours?

  • +1

Mine wasn't in shrink wrap.. just looser plastic with sticky tape.. I'd say that it's brand new, unopened, as a lot of IT products ship exactly the same way.. ie, logitech gear..

    • Right, I spoke to them at Camera Pro and they said the same thing. These look hand wrapped, well mine does as the folds and sticky tape obscure the barcode, which I cant imagine them doing with an official method. Still, that's how the girl said they got them so that's fine. Just thought I might have scored a return or something as I got mine much later than everyone else.

  • It's plastic wrap.. it's not rocket science.. it's not like you're buying a dvd from jb hifi.. it's designed to help protect against marks during transit.. it'd be pretty obvious if it was a used lens..

  • +1

Got a notification today that the claim has been paid via EFT. Submitted on 3/11 and paid today 17/11, so effectively 2 weeks. Nice..
