Argh. Amazon always defaults to a random seller instead of Amazon which is the cheapest.

On a computer, Select Other Sellers on Amazon.
On a mobile device, Select New & Used from £7.43

Total for this delivered AUD $22.71.

Good price for this although I recently purchased this two week ago from Zavvi For $22.10. Still waiting for delivery.

        • My LOTR Extended turned up today. I think that was 2 weeks ago

        • @ode1: How was the condition?

        • @Meque: Fine
it was in the jiffy style bag , but as it is a fairly solid box it was fine

      • Thanks neil. I learn something new every day :)

  • Got one. Thanks OP!

  • thanks..

  • Thanks for that!Mine worked out to just over $27.00 delivered.Looking forward to seeing the 1940`s animated series too which are apparently in the extras.

  • Good Christmas present. Thanks neil.

I copied the warning from Dealnews, a US site. The US is in a different Blu-Ray region than the UK, however Australia is in the same region (B) so the extras should work. Blu-Ray regions. This guide

      • +1

Agreed. It's region B. Same as AUS.

I buy Blu-ray from UK all the time. It'll work fine.

      • +1

The UK blu-ray is region B same as AU so the movies will play fine.
The extras however are on DVD which are usually region 2 locked for UK. AU is region 4. So may not be playable on some players.

        • +2

I also buy a fair amount of UK DVD, or used to, and I find they are dual encoded region 2 & 4.

It is unusual they are putting extras on dvd on a Blu-ray set. I didn't pick that up…

It usually doesn't take much effort these days to find a remote-hack code for multi-region DVD - ymmv I guess.

Cheers. Have updated description. There doesn't seem to be much information online about Disc 8.

        • @warwickjames:

The special features disc on the Australian Bladerunner set is a DVD as well. Was even a pal disc so all the deleted scenes had awful interlacing artifacts as well.

      • Ok thanks all I should have read more carefully and determined that for myself.

  • Has anyone received theirs yet? Still don't have mine.

  • Nope haven't got mine either. Just came on here to ask the same question.

Just got an email encouraging me to cancel my order and buy the worst version for more money.
    Think not.

    • What email address did it come from? I don't think I got that email.

I just checked the order and it is not yet dispatched. That is ridiculous. I wonder if I cancel what portion of my money I get back or whether I just get a store credit.

Edit: Nothing had been charged to the credit card yet from what I could tell so I just cancelled it. Pity.

      • They dont charge until they ship.
        came from amazon
Same email as all their correspondence.

        • If it hasn't shipped in almost a month I doubt it's happening. I'm glad I cancelled. Will settle for seeing the movies on DVD for now.

        • @syousef:

Mine shipped a few days ago. Glad I waited.

        • @drunifex:

Glad it shipped and hope you get it soon. For me waiting 6 weeks to 2 months for a set of blurays isn't something I'm happy to do. I wanted to watch this a month ago. I'm over it.

  • Woo hoo arrived quite quickly once they had it in stock.
