  • Dick smith sell this for $4.95 on Special all the time not as cheap but that shows you the real average price.

  • Good price for existing customers

Not so good for new customers that cant use BDAY code as its Selling on ebay for close to this price and DSE has it for ~ $5 when they have it on special

    • +2

      Good price for existing customers

It's not for existing customers, it only applies to those who haven't yet used their credit for something else.

  • So paid using store credit. Good find.

  • Couldn't find where to enter the BDAY code. Any idea?

  • +5

Wouldn't want to waste the code on this piece of junk. No offense OP.

    • +1

None taken. Seems people have used the code 3 times before it stopped working.

      • +2

        O really. That's good.

I was tempted as well but then realized there are going to be plenty of good deals coming before end of this year. No need to rush..

    • +1

Yeah pointless wasting a code when this is $4.95 @ dse most days and you might miss out on some awesome deal before xmas on COTD

    thanks..

  • "Coupon conditions have not been met"
    what is that about?

    • You need to be an existing customer and you also need to be logged in for the coupon code to be accepted

      • I am.
        I was.
I realise this is only valid for 1 item. Not 5.
        Works now (on one)

        • All good now.

          Order confirmed
          Thanks for shopping with us!

it will sound like shit. whats the point of this?

just another gadget to amuse the afternoon with before it ends up in the pile of 'good' gadgets one never uses.

    • +2

      Have you used this before?

    • to millusions
really? $2 cheaper than small sundae:)

      • +1

        what the hell for?

is it gonna sound better than the phone?

        so what is it for?

never used it before, cant think of one reason to have a tiny / tinny/ shitty speaker on a keyring.

please tell me about your last bbq where u all groved to this.

but sarcasm aside, do tell me what you use it for?

        • +1

"…please tell me about your last bbq where u all GROVED to this."

OK I will then. It was a FRY-day, hence the BBQ. We were planting trees on both sides of the street, so we were really GROVing. The speaker actually sucked, but we was too busy grovin' to care… YOU DIG?

          @GnarlyKnuckles:

yea. i knew you couldnt do it without sounding like a cheap teenager lol

        • +2

          @millusions:
Awww carn millza, no teenager would be THAT down with gastronomy, town-planning definitions, choreography-based metaphor, AND the vernacular of the youth, all at once?!? I also find your reference to 'CHEAP' teenagers somewhat bizarre… given the forum you patronise?!? LOL ;-P

  • Thanks Just ordered one. don't think I want it

  • +1

Parcel 1 : Oversized/Fragile. How big is this thing?

  • +2

I bought one for $5 from Dick, its pretty good, pumps out enough sound to overpower screaming kids. I bought mine to plug into a laptop with terrible speakers and its a huge upgrade. Very good for $2.

  • There's also a tripod tablet stand on sale for $1.98 when using the BDAY coupon code. A better alternative for those who don't need speakers.

  • +1

I also bought this a month or 2 ago from DSE for just under $5 (but it only arrived 3 days ago). It is VERY SLIGHTLY louder and a bit better quality than the loud speaker on my Moto X. It'll still be useful for me coz I have a tiny little PICO projector that I sometimes use to watch TV on the roof above my bed (surprisingly awesome quality) and the inbuilt speaker is pointless.

Basically this will not be of any use to anyone who wants to pump some beats from a phone with their mates. Save your voucher.

  • my tricky dick ones from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/161891 arrived on friday.
Pretty good for the price, slightly louder than the moshi but with less bass (these little doof doofs are pretty weak but it was noticeable).

  • Arrived today!
    Thanks op

  • Arrived today, Thanks OP. Although if I'd paid real money for this, especially anything near RRP, I'd be very disappointed!
