    Spend $30 for free shipping

    • Thanks, I didn't see that, I'll update it.

  • Nice! Anyone know if the expansions are the same or also Australian edition?

    • +1

Not Australian. They're the American versions instead.

      • I think it'd be more accurate to say that there are no non-US expansions

  • +2

Awesome, they sold out yesterday at PAX so couldn't get it then, didn't realise the AU webstore was going up this soon.

  • Awesome just ordered the main box… I've had the main box + expansion 1 for a while - whenever we play we'd take out the American cards we didn't understand…

    • I ordered the base and the five expansions, been waiting for ages for this store to open!

      • Whoa you certainly went all out with that :-)

There actually was a "secret" AU store before this which they gave you access to if you emailed them nicely.

        • Haha, yeah, I love this game! I couldn't just not get something =P
Oh wow, i didn't know that, I asked them in facebook a while back, perhaps I wasn't 'nice' enough!

        • +1

The secret store's shipping prices were insane though which made it redundant

  • Very new to this, but my girlfriend mentioned this is a must pay game with friends.

    Which version should I get?

    • +1

You at least need the base game. The expansions are pretty weak without it. The name gives it away. The expansions are additions to the base game (that's the $30 one). If you want a try before you buy, on their website you can download the American base pack to print off at home to make your own games to get a feel for it =) But for what is worth, so long as you're not easily offended, I agree with your girlfriend!

      • Thanks for your reply!

        Haha definitely not easily offended!

I'll grab the base for now, reckon I should just get the holiday packs too?
Are the american references not that great to interpret?

        • +1

The holiday packs are just Christmas themed cards I'm pretty sure! Still funny, good to bring out in the season, but a little deck cludding in the off-season in my opinion. I'll probably buy them at a later date =)
They used to just reference the occasional American product or celebrity we haven't heard of over here. It was still a lot of fun even with them though, so I'm genuinely excited for the game with them removed. I've had many hilarious hours with friends from this game =)

        • @Lockdude:

          Thanks mate!

          I will grab the base + expansion 1 :)

        • +1

          @ExpressCoffee:
No worries! Enjoy mate, hope you get plenty of laughs with mates to =)

        • +2

          Haha definitely not easily offended!

          Thats nice, go f*** yourself.

      • They also have a uk and aus version but I think it is a reduced number of cards, though you could read through some of them to get a better idea of what your getting. Some of the Aussie ones are a bit out there and I didn't get some of them and had to look it up. 'Quokka soccer', this game is pretty messed up

    • -1

This was massively overhyped imo and pretty boring after a few rounds. Not even that offensive most of the time

  • Nice! Dolphin friendly

    • +3

      Updated.

  • I'm getting "Sorry There has been an error processing your order"
Is this happening to anyone else? I've tried AMEX and Mastercard.

    • bought mine with mastercard, no problems

      • Thanks for the reply. I tried again with yet another card, it went through this time. Strange… oh well will check my cards tomorrow.

  • +3

Now with 40% more brand synergy.

  • Note that all the expansions are the American versions; only the base version of the game has been modified for the Australian market.

    • I'm curious what the Australian cards are like. The American set is fine but then you'd get a card referencing Rush Limbaugh and half the table doesn't know who he is.

      • +6

There are printable versions of the Australian cards here.

  • +1

Ordered. Been hearing awesome things about this for way too long not to.

    Even their website is entertaining.

  • Hmm, do i need any expansions. At $12 they are well priced but wondering if any are better than the others.

  • +2

$126 all up for absolutely everything, I got an estimated arrival date of somewhere between the 6th - 13th of November.

This is a great game to play with family members, it's like a modern day charades, but with cards and no acting! It really helps families bond.*

*Seriously, don't play this with your family or anyone overly sensitive. This game will make or break relationships.

    • +1

      $126 for a card game?

      Ye gods

    • My family has a twisted sense of humor, I think CAH will have to come out during Christmas lunch!

Been waiting for ages for it to come out in Aus for a decent price.

    Such humanitarians

    • +2

Well, they're against humanity aren't they?

  • Is this just rrp? Is the free shipping temporary… Just wondering if a better deal will come along ie another local retailer? (Obviously not waiting for a Black Friday deal from these guys after last year)

    • Considering the price that these have been in retailers in the past, I doubt anyone will be able to beat this price for a long while. $30 with free postage is pretty great.

  • +2

Great game, great post, thanks OP.

On a side note I now know where nearby parks are

    • In terms of post-checkout usefulness, I definitely think this website wins!

    • I didn't think I lived in that bad an area, but apparently the nearest parks to me are in Bulgaria!

  • -2

I don't understand what this game is about

    • +1

Its a party game. Its quite similar to the old game Apples to Apples, also a bit similar to an Australian card game called Stop Press which I played way back. Conceptually its also a bit similar to that old game show Blankety Blanks with Graham Kennedy.

Basically you have a group of players, and a card czar. A question card is played, and each player selects the most opportune answer from his or her hand of cards, and hands it to the card czar. They read out the answers one by one and the funniest one gets one "awesome point".

Invariably, some witty b*stard at the party is able to come up with funnier answers than are provided for in the cards. Thats one element to the comedy, I guess. However, because the players are constrained in their use of cards, it gives a chance to the less-witty to meaningfully participate as well.

The questions and answers are purportedly offensive without actually being so, IMO. Its fiftieth-percentile offensive I guess. If you found the "Borat" movie edgy, then it might get a rise out of you.

You have to remember that parties are fairly dull affairs, and the people who turn up at them are pretty vapid and vacuous types as well. Its either this, or play Singstar or Kinect Party or some other rubbish or dig your eyes out with a cocktail stick. Plus, in this modern age people just sit around like statues dicking around with their phones.

good on a bunch of high school guys fopr coming up with it anyway.

  • That OP, bought one. Have been waiting for these to come down in price.

    • I'd been waiting too! It's great to see so many people just as excited =)

  • If we already have the base US edition, is there any point in getting the AUS or are most the cards the same?

    • +2

Someone above posted a PDF of the Australian cards that come in the Australian base edition, and I think they're pretty decent. I have the US base edition, but too am torn between paying $30 for about 100 new cards. I wish they'd release the Australian cards as a seperate pack.

      • +2

I had a thought though, each of the expansion packs, and the Bigger Blacker Box, come with blank white and black cards to fill in yourself. I'll probably just hand write the Australian cards onto the blank cards!

  • How long will it stay this price for?
    Should I get in quick?
    I'm undecided at this stage…

    • I'd guess this is the permanent price, but I'd be more concerned about stock availability. If you want it for Christmas, I'd be inclined to order it sooner rather than later.

  • Haha played this a year ago with friends in high school, it's hilarious when you play it with 8+ of your strictly close friends!

  • Bought, great game.

  • Sounds like a fun game. Is there a limit to the number of people that can play at one time and what age group is this game suitable for?

    • +1

Is there a limit to the number of people that can play at one time

4 is the minimum. The more, the merrier (says on the box 20 is the max).

what age group is this game suitable for?

Over 18 years of age. Contains really inappropriate answers. It will easily offend those without a sense of humour.

Just don't play this with your parents/grandparents/in-laws… you get the idea.

    • I've played this game with three people before and it was still really fun. Four definitely would make it better, though.

  • Is it worthwhile buying the storage box?

    • -1

      I really doubt it.

    • +1

In my opinion if you get a few of the expansions it is.

My fiancee grabbed the base and 4 expansion for my birthday and it is a pita either putting all the cards back in their separate boxes or putting them all in a box not made for it having them all slide around and end up back to front and upside down which requires sorting them every game.

Plus the box comes with a special hidden card.

    • The box cards are some of the unfunniest in the game, IMHO. Things like "a man-shaped box" and a "box-shaped man".

However, the box does comes with a secret surprise card hidden inside.

  • +2

Anyone know if the entire base game is changed, or does it just come with a conversion kit? I picked up the base while in Vancouver and it included a small box labelled 'Canadian conversion kit' to replace certain cards with. Would be nice if you could purchase an Aussie conversion separately.

  • +5

If $30 is too much, and if you have a Chromecast and some iOS or Android devices, I can recommend CardCast (free) - playing Cards Against Humanity on your TV & phone/tablets works really quite well.

    • Playing with 5 friends right now, amazing and has the Aussie deck if you go to the website!

    • +1

Or you could play a clone online here: http://pyx-1.socialgamer.net/game.jsp#

    • It's not too much. It's just that when there is a free version that will probably work better, when it's a more convenient way of playing and removes the need for storing hundreds of cards that will only get touched several times a year - this chromecast version is logical.

I think it'd be a waste of money to pay for the box of real cards when you can do the same thing with greater diversity and without having to clutter your home, it just makes sense to me.

  • +1

Awesome my fiancee just got me the base game, first 4 expansions, pax, holiday 2012 and reject packs for my birthday and I just grabbed the 5th expansion, bigger blacker box, Australian base set, holiday 2013 and 90's packs. Almost paid $50 inc shipping for the bigger blacker box on its own so this was well worth it.

Not much I am missing now from the official sets, but I really don't want to have to buy the base set 2 more times to get the uk and Canadian cards so I may just print them and the unofficial sets.

Well worth the cost of entry in my opinion and even quite conservative people can get into it and have a laugh, plenty of fun for the money. We have spent about $150 on it and it will definitely get us a lot more enjoyment than going to the movies 5 times together or buying 2 new release games.

Definitely grab the base game if considering it and come back to more if you enjoy it. All it requires is a good sense of humor and an open mind. 99% of the cards can be used in funny or ironic ways without being horrible or disturbing its all about how they are played.

    • I'm just going to hand write the extra Australian cards on the blank black and white cards from the expansions and Box set, you could do the same with the UK and Canada sets.

  • Thank you! Been meaning to buy this for the better part of forever!

  • Note: anyone purchasing the Bigger Blacker Box, go hunting in the lid. You will find a very welcome surprise…

    • I can feel the card there but don't wanna hack at the lid to get it out… Is there an easy way?

Free shipping has been changed from $30 spend to $40 spend.

For those who have had an order arrive… How were your goodies packaged? Mine came in a box that said 60 DAY XPRESS BODY MAKEOVER1… Interested to know if other people had different boxes. Love the humor from them.

  • Does anyone know how long does shipping takes? Was thinking of this as a Secret Santa but need it early Dec.

    Cheers.
