Not sure if this is a deal, but unfortunately this is the best price I can find compared to any local game shops. Some of mine are charging closer to 380. Big shops like Good Games are charging 399

 - MTG multiverse is crazy big lol. I lost interest when they started branching out. Like, screw your MTG Spider-Man
 - Wait til she hears about MTG Spongebob, Doctor Who, Warhammer 40k, The Walking Dead, Street Fighter, Spiderman, TMNT, Star Trek, Dwight from The Office, Monty Python, Transformers …. well the list just keeps going.. - Yeah… She wouldn't be interested in any of those. Avatar: the last Airbender though…

 - Unfortunately yes, all these stupid sets are ruining the game. - Not according to Maro and his constant posts about how they are driving record profits blah blah because only profits actually matter it seems. - Sadly, I agree with you.

 - I remember the days when wizards made their own stories and deck themes that told a unique story. - The new theme is "money printer go brrrr" - MTG is the only thing keeping Hasbro from bankruptcy (revealed from quarterly profit and loss statements no less) - Absolutely. Feels like they're putting in zero effort and just killing the IP/franchise. - I used to spend money every release (not much, granted) but now I'm entirely out. I don't even really play it any more. - I've got a collector box and commander box of avatar on order, and its the first time I've bought paper magic in 10+ years. But its as a gamble rather than as something I'm going to use to play the game with. Which is dumb. But thats what the game is now, shiny cards for commander, and anyone who wants to play a different format can play on arena.

 - Quick Google brought up $299 eBay listings, ymmv - Some of those cheaper ones on eBay are international and get closer to this price if you factor in delivery. Not to mention it's very likely to take quite a bit more time to arrive, so that's a factor for some who want to get some games going as soon as they can after launch. - Fair enough!

 - I would never trust eBay for collector cards (all sports cards, MTG, Pokémon) especially if spending $300+ on a box. Too much fraud. The boxes offered if there are high priced inserts have probably been scanned or who knows what (resealed). Individual packs are almost always left overs after the big pulls/inserts are taken. I would advise people to stick to individuals and inserts that have been ripped from packs for MTG and Pokemon. Sports cards I wouldn't even bother with inserts, so much fraud fake patches/fake cards cutting edges. - Yeah na can't say I agree with this lol - More true than you'd think. - I knew a guy who worked at the Auburn post office and would weigh the Yugioh and Pokemon packs, buying the heaviest ones for himself. - Said he made close to $10k from it over the course of a few years. His boss didn't care as long as he paid for them and didn't damage the rest.
 - lol mate, what part is untrue? The collector card industry has been shady since the mid 90's. Pack feeling/Pack weighing & Fake auto's/Fake patches were common back then. Now? I don't want to think about it.

 - Don't bother. Magic Universes Beyond is crashing after Spider-man. It'll get cheaper - Response to avatar is wildly different to spiderman. It's not just the IP alone. Spiderman set was designed soso from a gameplay perspective and it was a much smaller set. Combine it with a few other factors has seen it labelled as "bad". - Avatar on the other hand has been very positive the whole way through. Loads of enquiries about Avatar even before spiderman was released. - This set is going to likely be the 2nd strongest Magic set this year behind Final Fantasy.
 - What about ninja turtles though

 - The biggest problem with these UB sets is how expensive they are. Ridiculous. Sorry OP no bargain
 - I just received Fallen Empires booster box from the states for about $895aud, and last week I got Homelands from Australia for $751. The 2 worst sets in MTG history, but they are both around 30 years old :D. Nothing beats old magic :D - Curious as to why you would buy those sets at those prices? Dud sets if I remember correctly. Art is good though in most cards. - I'm addicted to collecting magic, I don't even play it, but I have about 50 sealed boxes. and about 60k singles in tubs.
I have slowed down a lot, I just had an urge to buy some old magic, like I said they are 30 years old.- The prices I paid for those 2 boxes are on the lower end of the price spectrum. I will pull em out when I retire and maybe make some money.
