Bought one of these for $150 at JB a few weeks ago and can definitely recommend it, it sounds fantastic

    • does the auto-shutdown annoy you?

      • Sounds like would cause a lot of frustration with the macros on Harmony remotes etc..

    • what inputs does it have ? The specs given at http://www.sony.com.au/product/ht-ct60bt are ambiguous/useless; doesn't say HDMI but says CEC

      • Good question, I've got mine connected to my TV via optical/TOSLINK, there's Bluetooth too but beyond that I'm not sure off the top of my head. I'll check when I get home in an hour :)

Okay it also has the old white and red plugs and coaxial as well as optical and bluetooth if that helps

  • Here's hoping for a $20 off $99 this afternoon. Might pull the trigger then (assuming any stock left by then).

@roseyhead - have you used it without the sub and would you still recommend it or is the sub really necessary for bass?

I haven't tried without the sub and I'm at work so I won't be able to til tonight, according to this review https://www.avforums.com/review/sony-ct60bt-ht-ct60bt-soundb… it can be a little trebly, that can be adjusted with the remote but I get the feeling you'd be better off using it with the sub than without

      • Thanks :)

      Needs the sub dude.

I have one and am also lazy

  • I cant decide whether to get this, or their phillips 5.1 setup for $119. Im sure this would sound better, but I have a projector, and really want the surround sound…
    decisions, decisions

    • Well if it makes it easier, would now cost $229 with RACEDAY20 code ;)
