Games with Gold Nov Xbone - Powerstar Golf AND Volgarr The Viking FREE

This month Microsoft are giving away Chariot (same as last month) and PowerStar Golf in Aus as part of Games with Gold.

However, in the US & UK they're giving away Volgarr the Viking instead of golf. It's very easy to get all 3 here in AUS.

for Volgarr the Viking do the following; On your xbox, go to your settings, region/language settings, and change your region to US. restart console. Go to store and search for Volgarr the Viking. download it for free (don't need any US details like credit card etc, coz its free! :)) now change your region back to Austraila, restart console, everything is back to normal and Volgarr the Viking will play normally even in AUS region.

For Powerstar Golf and Chariot it's the same except you simply do it from the AUS store.

  If anyone can figure out how we are meant to get Powerstar Golf for free (when you go to the store page it shows $26.95, yes I am logged in) that would be great :)

    Yeah just noticed this myself even though it's in the games with gold section. Will try on my console after work tonight. As for Volgarr and Chariot I can confirm these are free (they were for me, anyway :))

    I reported the fault over the weekend. Apparently MS are looking into it (all other regions getting it, eg. NZ, Russia, Germany, are showing up as "$0.00" correctly).

        I believe that would be because the USA don't get Powerstar Golf for free this month, as they get Volgarr the Viking instead

      I assumed you needed to download the game itself (free) and then use the "Unlock Game Packs button on the Main Menu." within the game - which I can't do as I don't have a One. Hopefully this will be fixed then if it is free in other locations……

    Agreed. Although these arcade games are pretty good - super time force, guacamelee and max were all great games would be nice to get something different. Hard when the console is barely 12 months old though I guess

      Yeah but at least one of the games that are 12 moth old would be good. I just gave up and got dr3 but that would have been a good example.

  Looks like they have just changed the price to $0.00 in the last couple of hours. Just got it on xbox.com.
