  • Stocks at these prices are very limited (between 12 & 26 of each individual model) so Edifice and G-Shock watches are limited to 1 per OzBargain member. This is a one off promotion on the Edifice models and stock will not be available to be re-ordered at these prices. Thank you.

    • Thats awesome Rep. Can you please add Edifice EFR-520D-7AV as well for this $99 Promo. Last time I checked out and after checking out on Paypal stock was gone :(

      • +1

Unfortunately all the stock of that model at $99 was completely sold out! We only have normal buy stock on that and our cost on those is well over $99. Unable to do that model again. Sorry about that.

        • No worries, will have to wait then I guess. I had dropped an email to your sales email ID just in case if it ver comes back in stock at that price. Would love to own that 520D :D

        • Also any chance of a special or availability on the model Edifice EFR-528RB-1A

        • +1

To be honest, Edifice stock is very limited and they dont carry a lot of excess inventory. We will definitely try to get some stock.

        • +2

@regenade: I'll do some research on the 528RB-1A and get back to you. Thanks

        • @Star Jewels: Thanks Rep and ya anytime you have one of the 520D at $100 or around, I would be happy to snap it off :D, have dropped you a PM as well

        • +2

@regenade: Will put that on my list to harass Edifice with. Thanks for that.

        • @Star Jewels:
good to hear on the 528RB-1A :)

        • +2

@edgar28: Limited Edition model. This request is going all the way to the top…..Fingers crossed.

        • @Star Jewels:

          thanks! :)

        • Ah shame, that was the one I was waiting for too.

        • @Star Jewels: Hi Rep, Can you add me onto the list as well?

        • +1

@lambsie: Thanks. I'm expecting to hear back by tomorrow afternoon whether Edifice locally will be able to source some stock for us from Casio Japan. Soon as I get an answer, I will post it right here.

        • Me 8th please.
Spewin I missed out on that watch.

        • @thedude23: On it.

        • @Star Jewels:
Thanks mate. No stress if it dont work out hey, you tried pretty hard!
Your workin pretty hard aswell, take a breather. Thats an order!

        • @thedude23: Yes Sir, dude sir! Thanks mate. Its been a long day.

        • @Star Jewels:

          no luck so far?

          Thanks for the effort anyway.
          :)

        • @edgar28: Hi. As this enquiry went to Japan late yesterday, they will need some time to check and double check the quantities, prices and availability before they come back to us with an answer. I will keep you posted even if the answer is a no. Thanks

        • +1

@edgar28: Hi guys. We have been chasing up the EFR-528RB-1A from Japan and they are completely out of stock. They got in touch with the US office to see if they could get some stock and the final answer came back as a no last night. Seems like the only place now left to buy this stock will be the secondary markets like Ebay! Sorry about that.

  • Arrrgh!

Just bought a watch from you a couple of days back, please don't tempt me again! I've already got one of the titanium ones and was eyeing out for another…

Already got four watches so far, this is my 'eneloop' addiction.

Good store and rep to deal with. :)

    +1.

Not very familiar with watches, what are the main difference between G-Shock and Edifice range?
Regenade, what is so special about Edifice 520D model?

    • more turning parts, maybe make ur time run faster (joking)?

    • G shock are their long time, high protection, sport/outdoors, series
Normally with water protection, and more rugged look
I gues edifice would be their more formal range

    • G shock are the range with the plastic casing and bands (for shock protection). Has both digital and analog faces, sometimes both. Used for outdoorsy and also a fashion accessory with the wide range of colours available.

Edifice are the chronograph range. So with stop watch and multi dial faces, mainly analog. Almost always metal bands and casing.

    • Thanks guys. I currently have a Swatch analog watch with aluminium casing and band, it is so light compared to steel band. I wonderi if any of these Edifice range has model made from metal lighter than steel?

      • there are casio protrek watches with titanium steel bands selling on amazon for about $300 at the moment. And there's the 20% voucher I think that can be applied. It's an outdoors/hiking watch.

what are the main difference between G-Shock and Edifice range?

Very simply put: Edifice watches go with a dress shirt and loafers, G-Shocks (with the exception of some of the higher-end models) go with T-Shirts and sneakers.

You can think of the Edifice line-up as a less rugged but more up-market G-Shock range (even though most of their chronographs roughly approximately to counterparts from Citizen, Pulsar, or Seiko, the Edifice range is still way more unconventional in style, colour, and face layout than any of those brands).

Just to be clear, both Edifice and G-Shocks are waterproof (at least to 100M for most models) and can take a fair amount of abuse (though I wouldn't trust Edifice watches to survive Casio's G-Shock torture test videos that you can find on YouTube; for repeated salt water exposure and careless bumping into walls, a G-Shock is peace of mind).

There is a fair amount of crossover between the two ranges; Edifice watches can have temperature and compass sensors like some of the G-Shocks and there are Ana-Digi Edifice watches as well but for the most part the Edifice range is far more conservative in form and functionality than the G-Shock range.

G-Shocks can be analogue, digital, ana-digi and everything in between though very few, with the exception of the MTG line, come with factory metal bands. Almost all feature resin straps, whereas metal bands are the norm for Edifice (with few featuring Resin straps).

I doubt you will be seeing any triple ABC sensor, solar-powered, moon phase, tide graph Edifice watches being released anytime soon.

Internally they are entirely different beasts though, the patented triple-layer G-Shock production process (where all the internal components are basically "floating" in urethane rubber and spaced apart to prevent any internal contact, which is then cased in the stainless steel screwed case back, topped with the mineral glass and the buttons mounted to the watch case itself) is not really replicated in any other watch production lines.

If your main priority is life-long reliability, a solar-powered G-Shock will keep ticking for decades.

      • Wow Amar89, that is a comprehensive explaination there. TYVM.

Edit: Does anyone know of any leather band that won't smell like hell after you sweat?

  • Is it really like $400 off?

    • I bought a Citizen a week ago during their last sale. The 'regular price' in the sale was $699. After the sale ended the price only went up $100 to $350. So from my experience the 'regular price' is actually the RRP rather than Star Jewel's everyday regular price.

      • Thats absolutely correct. We tend to buy in bulk when Citizen or G-Shock or whoever is on sale or they have excess stock. The RRP are indeed the manufacturers prices. Thanks

        • Perhaps during that sale, and the current one I guess, the 'regular price' probably should have been the post-sale price of $350 rather than the $699 RRP.

        • @scottb721: Thanks. Will check here to see how to move ahead with this. We have never really worried with the RRP after the first few times on OzBargain.

        • @Star Jewels: No problem. Some shops like to quote big savings during sales when in reality their regular price is lower than the 'WAS' price indicated during the sale.

Still a happy Star Jewels customer :-)

        • @scottb721: and to us THAT is the most important thing. Thank you for your support :)

  • +1

not to say star jewel is bad, but some hongkong sellers on ebay can sell cheaper watches.
and yes they have thousand of + feedbacks.

  • Whats better leather strap or stainless steel?

    • +1

Long lasting and all ways good looking = Stainless Steel
Better comfort but will wear over time = Leather

I usually go with stainless, but more depends on what look you like the best.

    • +4

Stainless is better for some poor cows ass.

  • Do Edifice have the Eco-Drive like feature like Citizen? Been looking around and would love a more formal-looking watch with eco

    • +1

There is a very small range in Edifice of the Solar watches. The brand is still new to us so we will keep an eye out for the solar models in the future. Thanks

    • Hi. We buy at different times from Citizen at different prices so hence are unable to offer any consistency in the pricing of deep discount stock. Thanks

  • Website dieing at checkout on the place order button. Edit: Actual page I am getting is Internal Server Error.

I bought twice from your store and both times I received the wrong watch. Have you done anything to improve your processes and avoid making a mistake like that again?

    • Could you please give me your order number or name so I can look at that for you. Thanks

      • It has been sorted out and I had to post back to receive the right ones after returning at your store's cost but time was very tight. Just in the future, if I have a tight time frame, I am worried about getting the wrong one again.

        • +14

You should get a watch to better manage your time

    • +1

I bought 2 watches from them, very fast delivery, you were really bad luck, I guess

    • Hello. Not in stock at the moment. If you have a minute, please PM us and we will have a look and be able to come back to you with a correct answer. Thanks
