  • bit more description in the title would be handy

    • Fixed it for ya.

  • Cost for making withdrawals

    • Agree it should be called "Cash Cow" - they slug with charge everytime you withdraw money.

      • Chloden and Skinny, are you complaining about the actual cost or the fact that it is not free?

        • ANZ have a $12 fee to load with free withdrawals, just comparing it to that!

Seems the guy at ANZ got it wrong and there are fees for withdrawing through ATM's……not happy as purchased $2000 US thinking it was fee free, will be going to back to branch Monday!

  • I think every bank account charges you for overseas ATM withdrawl so comparing it to that this might not deserve a neg.

    • Not if you use a Wizard Clear Advantage Mastercard.

      • Different, that's a credit card, not an electronic cash wallet. May be better for some people, but it's still a different thing.

    • my bank charges $5 for foreign withdrawal transactions whereas with this card its $3.75, so u save a little bit

  • does that let you take cash out for free, cause I got one of those cards but didnt know you could take cash out of ATM.

So I am guessing you just got to load it up with cash first ?

  • actually compared to similar products this is a saving

BUT the exchange rate they give you is not as good

for example this provider 1 AUD = .8439

    commonwealth is .8510

not too bad with the pound but

heres hoping the other providers do the same :)

  • From my past experience, the best way to get forex is order some cash online (travelex.com.au), the online rate is heaps better than walk in! Then use your credit card for most purchases.

Since credit card provider use wholesale rate, I was still better off than these Travel Card despite being charged extra 3% by AMEX.

    • or alternatively, you can order online at the same rate and collect using cash at a nominated counter (perhaps at the airport?)
