If what happened to me also happened to you and you didn't get an email from Humble, if you go to your Humble account page (assuming you have one), you can scroll down to find all your purchases and Metro 2033 should be there to redeem.
If you don't have an account, then maybe try another email address?
One gets a link emailed, when followed back to Humble Bundle site they then click the Redeem Steam key button above "To redeem a steam key, you will need a Steam account.", then a person (I assume as I stopped here) is directed to Steam where they "Sign In through Steam at Humble Bundle" - I assume to link their Steam account to Humble Bundle.

Damn was hoping it was the remastered version. Still an awesome game…if you haven't played it give it a go. I'll probably pick up the Redux version if I'm going to replay it.

OP, it might be worth entering into the description that this requires people to link their Steam account with Humble Bundle to get the game, also the game will only be received if they currently don't own a copy.

Can be gifted, but it's not the Steam code. The person receiving the gift then needs to go to Humble to redeem, which means they need to link their Steam account to Humble.
Personally I'm hesitant about linking my Steam account and sharing person info, though I know many people don't really mind. If anyone knows a way to get the code without having to link, I'd love to know :)

Impossible captcha to be done. done it 10 times correctly, yet they said recaptcha is failed….

Using chrome, I encountered this problem too, plus half the damn captcha image was hidden behind the image underneath it!
But I tried with firefox, and instead of being asked to enter a code, I just had to tick a box! Never seen that before!
So just try a different browser dude!
My recaptcha was a simple ticking checkbox… although you have to be patient to wait for the thing to spin to verify that you've 'checked' the box.

I was just choosing to gift the key as I didnt want it but it didnt show up so now I have three keys when I only needed one :/ (as yes I was send emails on the gift keys)
Put in my email address, got no email.. No it's not in the spam folder.
This happened with the last free humble game also. :/
