  Be careful which way you book with them. I found that if I booked from KUL-MEL as a single flight it was $266 on a specific date. If I booked the same flight as a part of a return flight originating in Aus, the price goes up by more than $100.

  They have certainly had much better sales in the past.

    I found the same thing. Was $100 cheaper when buying 2x one way tickets (as opposed to 1x return)

  Booked Gold Coast to Phuket earlier this year for $229 pp; price now $683 pp. Mega sale or mega ripoff? That said, it always pays to book with Air Asia when fares are first released.

  Be sure you understand the AirAsia conditions if you buy a "flexible" business class ticket. Yes you only pay the fare difference with a flexible when you change the dates but the difference is taken from a generally unpublished RRP price - not what's on the website for the date you want to change to!

  For example buy a MEL-KUL biz seat at $799, change it with "manage my booking" and you will asked for the difference between the RRP of $AUD1550 - even if the new date has a general web price of $799….
