  • My work shoes were falling apart!
Hopefully the black "saffron" should help - Just ordered!

  • good deal, but no need so will skip it!

  • Not my kind of shoes, but they are great value, we thought we'd try something new.

    Would love to hear feedback.

Ralph Lauren for kids next week.

    • Ralph Lauren for men the week after?! PLZ!!!

  • Just ordered a pair as well, hope they are authentic and are good in quality…

  • I'm not sure about the size, sometimes my feet can fit in size 41(EU), sometimes I need size 42, so… Which one should I pick? Can I go to the shop in Princes HW to have a try?

    • Yeah same here. Shoes are really hard to order online. I have a 41 / 42 too but really depends on the way the shoe is designed.

Btw, what's the RRP on these?

  • nice one.. a cheap spare pair of work shoes won't go astray.

  • Steve Madden had a closing down sale last month at all their stores. Not sure there's anymore Steve Madden shops around now..~

  • none of those styles are on the stevemadden website. that probably means that these are really old styles

Just when I thought I had not shoes to wear to the Mardi Gras, Steve Madden "Paddington" ftw

  • I just replaced a pair of "Steve Madden" black leather shoes that I got on sale at myers for $40. The quality of them was fairly poor and after 5 day a week use over 6 months they were ruined. Most of my other leather shoes have lasted at least 9-12 months.

Not a bad deal if you plan on wearing them infrequently though.

    • Still a current model in Myer …. saw them this afternoon ($149.95).

  • Weird how neither the Paddington or Saffron models are mentioned on the Steve Madden web site. Really out of date or knockoffs?

  • The Australian names for SM shoes sometimes are different to the American names. Just as silly sounding, but different.

Honestly I dont think this is that good a deal. Steve Madden is a good brand but these prices are the same (not incl shipping) that you will see at any DFO Steve Madden outlet. I bought a pair of the latest fashion leather Steve Madden heels from DFO for $20 to give you an example of what their clearance prices are like. Plus at an outlet, you're able to try on the shoes etc.

ETA: And those were the prices when Steve Madden was open, if it has closed down as a poster above said then the prices should be cheaper…

These are really old styles (pre 2007). A nice price for some casual dressy shoes, but I wouldn't use these for work, they broke down after about 2 months use. I prefer Julius Marlows, a bit pricier - but not overly expensive - and usually last me a good 6 months, I usually have two pairs on rotation for 12 months. Plus JM is an Australian owned company.

  • I got a pair of SM flats from DFO for $2.50…~

  • ok so where is this the SM outlet's location? :)

Well SM had outlets at lots of DFOs (NSW, VIC, QLD, TAS) & at least one Harbour Town I know of (Gold Coast)… (DFO is an outlet shopping center chain - http://www.dfo.com.au/) but if it has closed down as someone said above, I dont know if these will still be open… maybe phone SM and ask.

    As has been previously stated:

    • These are very old styles
    • Steve Madden shoes were recently sold out at Myers, Steve Madden Stores, and DFO outlets for anywhere between $10 and $50 (at absolute most).

While the latest style might not be important to everyone…I can't really consider this a bargain, relative to recent prices elsewhere.

Dam was too late to this one my size has sold out I wanted a nice pair of shoes too.

Good cheap price peed off i missed out

  • Just received it, quality seems okay. am surprised with their response time! :)

    • Got mine this morning too. Just what I expected, as I actually tried them on at Myer before placing the order. A good buy!

  • Just received a pair of black Paddingtons in size 43, when I should have ordered a pair of size 42s. Quality looks good. Unfortunately wasn't able to find any to try on first. Anyone interested in a swap, or know of a site that do swaps?

  • Just recieved an email from morons at COTD to be advised that they have taken my money, yet cannot supply the goods, honestly these guys suck …….
