Assassin's Creed Unity as well as Far Cry 4 are available on the Indian Origin website for 1799 Indian Rupees, which is equivalent to about $30 USD or $33 AUD. The Gold Editions (game + season pass) are available for 2700 Rupees, equivalent to $45 USD or $50 AUD. To access the Indian Origin store, you must use a VPN such as Hola (just as you would for the Mexican Origin store).

    Don't recommend this. I don't trust Ubisoft to deliver a working PC port especially with those ridiculous minimum specs.

      For sure. You can always buy it later with this method anyway, so why not wait for the pc specific reviews to come out?

      you can launch steam from Windows 8 metro launcher
      Then launch Origin from steam
      Then launch Uplay from origin
      Then launch AC from Uplay

      So innovative right?

      Use Origin to download and install the game. Play once through Origin and it will launch Uplay and it will bind Origin key to Uplay account. next time only use Uplay. Work for me for Watch Dogs

    To those having problems:

    I recalled having to do a modified purchase last time from Origin Mexico and have found the instructions HERE:

    "just turn on mexican proxy, go to store.origin.com put those in the basket log in , turn proxy off , enter your credit >card and address, that's it. Legit Origin Copy with all languages."

    I had the [ref. #10048] error and after doing this the transaction went through with no problems!

    tl:dr turn off VPN after log-in in at checkout

      Tried that multiple times, still not working. MasterCards not working, Paypal doesn't show up, and American Express gets to final step but still does not end up working :(

        I got it last night. Seems to have been under heavy load. Took quite a few tries, kept cutting out just at the end.

        Used a commonwealth debit mastercard, kept the address and country as australia, followed the instructions as above (used hola to access via india, added to card, proceeded to checkout, got to logon screen, disabled hola, logged on, purchased using aussie card and details)

        Now the bloody thing won't activate though. It says release 12th at 9pm (I assume local time), which was an hour ago.

        I don't know what I'm in for with this. I've played all the AC games and really enjoyed them all (even 3) but I am not reading good things about this new one. I'm a sucka though, so I'll find out for myself.

    Heads up, my unity code came back as region locked when I tried to input it into uplay. Might have to activate via vpn :P

    credit to neogaf forums:

    put the following proxy into uplay network settings: 27.106.33.161 port: 8080

    activate, then disable proxy. voila :P
