How do I get the Amazon Appstore on my Android device? To download these apps free now, download the Amazon Appstore for Android: https://www.amazon.com.au/getappstorenow.

Why isn’t the app free for me?
If you have an existing Amazon.com account but cannot download the app for free, you may still be shopping the Amazon.com store.

How can I get the app for free if I have an Amazon.com account?
To shop Amazon.com.au change your ‘1-Click address’ to your Australian address. Go into 'Manage Your Content and Devices' and then into 'Settings'. Check that the ‘Country Settings’ say Australia. Click 'Change' to check your address is in Australia. Above your address, it will state: ‘You are currently linked to shop on Amazon.com.au.’ If it says ‘You are currently linked to shop on Amazon.com’, then click the related link to select Amazon.com.au.

You do not need to create a new account and you can continue to shop for physical goods at Amazon.com. You can always change back to Amazon.com for digital products at any time.

As opposed to amazon.com.au which this deal is for.

My guess is the US store will get it's own version of this anyway.

    • Maybe so… but it's working.

Servers Ultimate Pro looks interesting, PROVIDED that it doesn't have backdoors… :-/

  • Typical. Only just recently bought the Fleksy keyboard haha

    • how is the fleksy app?

      • I bought it for the big simplified keys. I stopped using it because it does autocomplete/prediction poorly.

        • Yeah it's a bit iffy with auto predictions, not sure if that's because it's still learning my typing patterns etc. For free its definitely worth a try

    Thanks

Waiting for the US Store links.. but will probably have another outcry like last time if it is a "different post" or "Duplicate".

  • What is Android ??

    • Isn't it the mass of old rocks, moving around in space, that some rover craft just stuck itself onto, for Science work?

      • DOH!! that's a hemorrhoid …

  • I can't install it on my phone. Followed the link, downloaded it, opened the file, and it wouldn't recognise me clicking on the 'install' button, but 'cancel' worked right next to it. Anyone else have this problem?

You probably have some sort of screen filter app running?

      • I was having the same problem - simply couldn't click the install button. I turned off my BlueLight filter and it worked fine.

In your settings you need to "allow installation of apps from unknown sources"

      steps should be similar
      settings>security> Unknown sources. …
Tap OK on the prompt that appears.

  • Thanks for the suggestions. It was the filter app (for the yellow banding on my new OPO grrr). Why can't it work with a filer app on? Anyhow switched it off and downloaded.

    • ^Generous bargainer. Much appreciated.

No worries mate. All gone now.

  • I got had on the last deal. Clicked in expecting the price to reduce and they automatically charged my CC that was preloaded on. Apparently I had to uninstall and reinstall the Amazon Appstore to get the free app…

Not happy about that at all.

    • I have no credit card loaded.
Talk to your provider regarding cancelling and refund if the big A has not fully refunded.

Like all of us they the A do it automatically, lol.

If cannot get card removed open small free bank account , set up debit card details, then close account. When purchasing use another method or buy elsewhere and OzBargain may have another choice?Lol?

      2 lols sorry.

    • Done that before, just send an email, and was easily refunded

  • Nice, thanks. Grabbed Servers and HanDBase which should give me some entertainment while I mess around with them on my phone this weekend.

I will always shop at amazon us as the amazon au prices are a total ripoff.

  • Grabbed them all including the non compatible one for both devices.

Don't think I will use the mobile for outlook as it may chew up to much data even with clearing Cache. Removed Sol - now just use Google. Slower but so what.

Thanks Lee20825. Hope it helps your KP I,s.
