Has anyone here bought vouchers from places like Scoopon / Luxury escapes etc, and had a particularly good and/or bad experience?
I've read many bad thing about restaurant vouchers, because it seems that some restaurants try to avoid fulfilling then properly, by making it hard to book decent times or giving a cheaper version of their standard meal etc.
If this happened when spending hundreds of dollars, it would ruin a holiday.

Yep, love watching for voucher deals. Have bought and used heaps, but always don't just believe their hype, look on Trip Advisor and reviews on Booking.com as well.
We went to Ramada Benoa Bali this year and didn't like the resort or location, but then it was an incredible deal. Have bought another Luxury Escapes voucher for le meridien Jimbaran and GroupOn one for Ayung in Ubud, and are currently looking at dates and flights.
Have never thought that we were any any disadvantage at the hotel etc. To us it is the only way to get the best accommodation deals
