Looks like they did their research and stole all the good things about the weber q :P

That said, for 299 with stand etc.., its significantly cheaper than a Q

  • This appears to be quite a good deal. An hour away from Bondi, so may have to call them up to purchase and pick up at a later date.. (if possible)

It's listed on the Bunnings website for $364 + $184 for the trolley.

    • Give us a call on (02) 9388 9944. We'd be happy to hold/deliver for you once payment is arranged. Delivery would need to be quoted as per your location.
      Thanks

  • Good price but I'm tipping it isn't the world's best portable(?) BBQ.

If we may comment ourselves on this deal, we believe at this price it is something any bbq enthusiast could not go past. Our BBQ team have been researching for months and attempting to obtain a world-class BBQ suitable for Sydney households at a great price. Should you encounter any problems under normal use, BeefEater have good after sales service support.

      • Burning Log has pushed this BBQ as a Weber alternative for at least 2 years iirc. Their margins on Beefeater are better than they get on Weber. Super deal no doubt.

    • It is very much the same as the Webber Q but apparently can get hotter so lid-up cooking is better. I think the Q has one big burner whereas the bugg has two smaller ones (each side has its own burner).

The bugg comes in the one size and the Q comes in two sizes if I remember correctly, plus you have the lid options.

      I have a bugg.

  • Awesome, very jealous of NSW-ers.
I've got a fantastic Weber kettle but would be nice to have a gas to cook a meal for 1/2 without the mess!

  • Pretty are I've seen it at Mitre10 in the CBD for $299 with the stand?
Anyway, do some research and read some reviews.

Edit: here it was - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/166323

Worth checking the CBD store if that's handier than Bondi Junction?

    • Our Sydney CBD stores currently do stock this deal however they have very limited stock, so we suggest securing your BBQ through our Bondi Junction branch.
      Thanks

  • Seems like they haven't been able to sell since father's day!!

    • +1

Our stores have moved hundreds of units since Father's Day, until we sold out. We have been able to secure more stock (Graphite colour) at an awesome price in time for the christmas rush. We expect to sell out within the next week or two, so hurry in fast to Mitre 10 Bondi.

  • They did this at the local mitre 10 in chelsea vic about grand final time. Worthwhile phoning around to the independent owned ones. The price is great but from experience a bugger to clean. Comes with a half solid plate half grill though.

  • rep, is there any way to use lava rocks with this?

    • Hi voteoften, this BBQ is not made to use lava rocks for grilling so there is no way of using them inside the unit. Doing so would likely damage the propane gas system that runs through the base, below the grilling plates. For a BBQ where you can use lava rocks, we recommend using a charcoal kettle BBQ, which will cost around $100 with a few accessories included: http://shop.mitre10.com.au/charcoal-kettle-bbq-with-4-piece-….
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

  • Wish I was in Sydney.. Anyone know any places in Melbourne that can match this deal?

    • Check with Womersley's Mitre 10 Springvale Rd & Wells Rd, Chelsea Heights. They had a few a while back and may still have some in stock or know where to source it from.

    • We are able to send interstate - please email us at [email protected] to arrange a quote.
Payment over phone. Let me know if you have any other questions.
      Thanks

  • How much did it cost you to get John Mangos to flog them for you?

    • +1

      i can't imagine he'd charge a lot these days

      • Agreed, but he's a good bloke, was good with Graham Kennedy back in the day

  • Very good price… webber q100 with trolley was around the same price when ebay had 20% off.

  • Same deal currently at Womersley's Mitre 10 (Springvale Road & Wells Rd, Chelsea Heights VIC 3196)
