All the cheap fans seem pretty much the same to me - the stand is usually pretty flimsy, but they all move air. You have to move up a huge amount in price to get anything better.

  • If you want something to blow the air around they are fine.
If you want a fashion statement or something to match the décor then spend more (and leave the price tag on LOL)

    • Most people would know a Dyson is super expensive though. They make Vornado look cheap LOL

  • I bought one from masters same sort of price, pretty flimsy but do the job..

Better off investing in a Vornado. High pitch blades with bigger and better motors. Made in China though, but used to be made in USA. http://vornado.com.au/

Got one from TVSN and another from BuyInvite, around 40 or 50% off. $60 and a $90 one. Worth it.

I'd snap up an antique metal one from the 70s and 80s in a heart beat. They look good too. And have a high angle so you can circulate the air and flush the hot air down from ceiling and mix the cooler air around. In combo with ceiling fan they cool a house down much faster and efficiently with the aircon than without.

Once you go Vornado you never go back to pedo. ;-0

  • tip: buy one with plastic blades as they are much quieter
