NO HD Tuner. need a set top box!

If you prefer to use an HTPC or PVR/tivo, the lack of an HD tuner doesn't matter.

    • Good grief! Given $599 with HD tuner (ie http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/17049) seems to be a standard price, this looks to be worth $400-450 max. That said, if it pixel maps 1:1 it may be worth the stated price as a computer monitor.

      • You forgot the 3-year warranty. These can be expensive to fix.

      • Resolution is too low for use as a day-to-day computer monitor, it would be strictly for HTPC purposes. The pixel density is too low on this screen so your eyes will tire rapidly trying to read anything for an extended period of time.

These days buying anything that does not have an internal HD digital tuner in it is just a waste of money. Especially something like this that needs the additional cost of purchasing an exteranal digital box to get digital tv.

  • Oops no HD Tuner. I had to revoke my positive vote. It's a reasonable deal but not a bargain without the HD Tuner. Essentially this is just very old stock being cleared and should probably carrier a smaller pricetag. As a PC monitor perhaps it's got some merit although I'd want higher PC res modes for that personally but it's a good price for a large monitor otherwise.

  • soiled merchandise? haha, yeah… good bargain!

ViewSonic made good CRT monitors back in the day, however I'd save your money here.

  • tonymony, please observe the deal posting guidelines, specifically:-
