    iPad 30-pin connector :(

  • Wouldn't a normal scanner have better quality?

    • +1

I guess it would although if you go on a overseas family trip and are wanting to backup old school photos this would come in handy without the need to bring a scanner and all the accessories it comes with it

This is JPEG at 300dpi, so probably yes. I guess this is convenient if you don't have a PC.

  • Officeworks has these for 49.95 so you could price match and get it for 37 something

    • i cant find anywhere on officeworks website

      • that's odd, I work for officeworks and I know for a fact we have at least 3.
        But I think it's clearance

kaiser always reminds me of keyser soze…

  • Will this fit on a I pad 4 from few years back,is it any good and what's the better option wifi or iPad version

    • I think for the ipad version it wont work with the ipad 4 as it requires the 30pin connector and if im right the ipad 4 has the new lightning connector

But if you want this to work with your Ipad 4 you will probably need the Wifi version as it uses wifi which only requires downloading the i-Scan App which will allow you to scan from the device onto your ipad/PC/Mac.

      • Surely there's an app for that lol. Maybe an adaptor?

        • the lightning to 30 pin may work :) but for a bit more multi use the wifi will do the trick lol

But it seems "Wninja" is on the ball in terms of the adapter a few posts below it could work if you had a long adapter so the ipad sits on a flat surface rather than a balancing act lol

  • Still a great gift thanks op

  • by chance has anyone tried a 30pin to lightning adapter with this device?

only says it wont balance? Still unsure if it works

We bought this scanner in good faith from Harvey Norman for our new iPad 4. The salesman assured us it would fit with a lightning connector. Wrong! The 30 pin connector does not balance the iPad and is therefore useless. The salesman also said there would be 'no refund' so we now have to take the matter further with their head office. Not happy.

    • I have, with my iPad mini. It works fine, but it needs support. I have a Smartcover, which I take off the front and slide down the back of the iPad and adapter, which works great.
