REAL COMMENTS FROM HAPPY CUSTOMERS

Almost too good to be true At first i was skeptical of the build quality of the power bank given how much power it has because i have seen others with half the power with higher prices and bad build quality. I have had it two days now and I am pleasantly surprised at the build quality, this device is almost too good to be true and i would recommend it to everyone. This will be a great device for me when i go on holiday.

Thanks! Very good product so far, with massive power storage. Charges devices a little slower than other sources but that's expected, along with it's understandably very long recharge time. Otherwise pretty great, I like how it turns off when closed. USB port area could be a little more convenient but not a problem with a right-angle USB cable.

Compact size (compares to its 12000mAh capacity); One micro-USB to USB cable attached; Magnetic auto sleep/wake feature; Dual output, one feeds two; Charging 33% faster; 85% conversion rate; Retain 80% capacity after 500 full cycles; Temperature Resistance; Input Overvoltage Protection; Output Overvoltage Protection; Protection from Short Circuit; Protection from Overcharge and Over-discharge; Protection from Output Over-current

Is that Red? It looks more like Pinkish Tangerine…

    • +1

Yes, the "Max" in photo is red, maybe more like pink. There are 4 colours available: red, blue, black and yellow. Which one do you like?

  • OP, I bought the "Delta" poewr bank from your deal last week and whilst I've promptly been sent an email saying that the item has been sent and a tracking number provided, the status is, and has been, stuck at "Shipping information received by Australia Post". Can you advise what's happening and if the power bank has been sent at all? (I can PM the order#)

    • +3

classic Aust Post tracking info (though they are getting better). Most likely that's all you'll see till it gets to you unannounced.

      • thanks..hopefully it's just that or if Milkr can confirm that it has been sent then it'll be all the better :)

Thanks for your purchase. We guarantee that every order would be processed and sent within 1 business day. Our record shows that all orders since last week have been already sent via Australia Post. From my experience, it's quite normal that the delivery status would be stuck at "shipping information received" until you actually receive it. Seems Australia Post should update their system to achieve better real time synchronization performance. But could you also message us your email address and order name, we would love to double check for you:)

      • For majority of Auspost parcels with tracking they don't get scanned in until it gets to the destination post office. Ie you get carded. So i wouldnt worry about it. If you call up their hotline then they can give you details of it going thru any processing centre. Majority of customers doesnt even care, for those that care just call them.

    • hey blahoz…did you get your item yet?
I'm having the same issue as you…tracking number has been stuck since the weekend…doesn't usually take this long for items sent from QLD.
(And almost every tracked item I've received has updates during dispatch).

all good rep, just got it today!

  • Anyone know if these are safe to take on planes?

      • +1

TSA limits only apply when travelling to/from the United States. In Australia CASA is the relevant authority. Their Dangerous Goods site lists "Batteries - spare - lithium ion (rechargeable) - 100 Wh or less" as safe to carry on.

I may be mistaken, but I calculate 12Ah @ 5V (the USB standard) to be 60Wh. In which case one is fine, two requires additional approval and three is prohibited. Then again if you're travelling with someone else, just slip one in their bag.

Edit: incorrect calculation. 3.7V is 44.4Ah. Not exactly dozens, but two batteries are fine.

        • Thanks! I wasn't aware of the CASA page with the same information =) Still the TSA link is useful for double confirmation, when people are flying that way!

Further down the rep states the internal cell is 5V (this doesn't appear to be the typical 18650's), so your figure of 60Wh may be correct.

    • Yes, it's totally safe to take 1 on planes. Unless you are going to take a dozen lol

  • hi rep, looks like a solid product.
Are you able to post the dimensions + weight of this powerbank? (At a guess it looks like it's around the size of 2 stacked iphones?)

    • +1

Thanks for asking. It's in the product page http://www.milkr.com.au/products/max-12000mah-dual-usb-outpu…, Click the "Inside&out" section, you will see all the dimensions and other detailed information. But I would love to paste at here:
      Length: 147 mm
      Width: 64 mm
      Height: 21.2 mm
      Weight: 290 g
Not that big, right? Comparing to its capacity, still in fair compact size.

      • Are both output ports 2.1A? Is there a maximum concurrent output load?

        Also,
Is the internal Lithium polymer battery cell 3.7V or 5V?

        • Thanks for asking. The maximum concurrent output load is 2.1A. And the internal Lithium polymer battery cell is 5V. Enjoy your shopping.

        • @milkr: Thanks for clearing up the maximum concurrent load, but you missed the other part of the question - Are both ports 2.1A or is one 2.1A max and the other 1A?

      • oops, sorry about that…the section was minimised and I must've missed it when I was browsing.
        thanks for the prompt reply!

        • My pleasure:)

  • thnx. any cheaper for pickup?

    • +3

Thank you for asking. I'm sorry we don't have pick up option. But here is a secret tip for receiving extra discount on the 12000mAh power bank "Max": After adding it into your cart, open the cart editing page. And then a window would pop up. Follow the instruction in the window to like our Facebook page, you will receive another discount code:) Enjoy your shopping~

      • Stackable discount codes, I like your style. Btw, I looked at the cost benefit of walking from Sydney to Brisbane and it is not feasible for me to pickup my order anyway.

  • As per the description it says iPhone x 7 charges.. Can you clarify if you mean iPhone 6 or any other iPhone model specifically?

    • +2

Thank you for asking. The "Max" can fully charge iPhone5s (or earlier generation) 7 times. Eventhough the latest iPhone 6 got bigger battery, the "Max" still can give it 5.5 times fully juice up:)

      • +1

Thank you. Another Question: Once charged fully, if I keep this battery in my car glove-box for emergencies, How long (or how many days days/weeks/months) will the charge last realistically?

        • That's may not be advisable, unless your car is parked undercover, or stays cool. (Battery life may be reduced with heat)
I see you have a reply from the rep further down. :)

    • +1

It's an approximation. This would be for all models. You can find out the Mah capacity of your phone battery and divide it by 10,200mah to get a theoretical estimate number of charges. Bear in mind your phone battery will invariably decline with age so its stated Mah will be less.

  • Showing as out of stock? Any updates? Also i couldnt get the FB code to work with the 10% code using Google Chrome browser. Is there a particular method?

    • +1

Just update the stock information. Would you like to refresh the page and try again? We also test the multiple coupon function. It indeed does not work properly as we expect. Our tech team will work on that tomorrow. Thank you for letting us know. I am happy to offer you a 15% one-off un-stackable coupon code for ordering the "Max" power bank this time, if you don't mind to message your email address to us:)

      • Thanks for the prompt reply. I have emailed you my details based on your website contact us email.

  • Got a question with this magnetic cover business; what happens if you just want to use it as a stand, or the flip-lid becomes detached somehow? Does it keep trying to charge or is there an auto-sleep if nothing is actually connected?

    • +2

Thanks for asking, it would automatically go to sleep after couple minutes if nothing is actually connected. The chipset in this power bank is one of the smartest in the market.

  • Another Question: Once charged fully, if I keep this battery in my car glove-box for emergencies, How long (or how many days/weeks/months) will the charge last realistically?

    • Thanks for asking. Depends on different conditions, a fully charged "Max" can standby 3 to 6 months. But you don't want to do that. First of all, don't keep your power bank in your car glove-box in summer. Your battery is designed to perform well in a wide range of temperatures, with 16° to 22° C as the ideal comfort zone. It’s especially important to avoid exposing it to temperatures higher than 35° C, which can permanently damage battery capacity. That is, your battery won’t power your device as long on a given charge. Charging the device in high temperatures can damage it further. Even storing a battery in a hot environment can damage it irreversibly. Second of all, you need to fully change and discharge your power bank at least once a month to keep the battery cell active. Or the character of the chemical materials in battery cell may change, which can permanently damage battery capacity as well.

      • Oh it's LiPo. This also means you shouldn't regularly run the cell to <20% (except ~once per month), due to chemistry. (correct me if I'm wrong)

  • Am I being stupid? How do you add the second coupon code without removing the first one. I can't figure it out. Using Firefox.

    • I'm really sorry, the multiple coupon function does not work properly as we expect. Our tech team is working on this issue. I am happy to offer you a 15% one-off un-stackable coupon code for ordering the "Max" power bank this time, if you don't mind to message your email address to us:)

  • Hey rep,

I'm looking at your other products (and there's some brilliant engineering there!) as this one is pretty weighty.

The input&output may be labelled the wrong way - http://www.milkr.com.au/products/delta-6000mah-dual-usb-outp…
Typically it should be - input = "power input to the power bank"; output = "power output from the power bank".

This product is missing it's weight - http://www.milkr.com.au/products/boss-5000mah-aluminum-power…
(but perhaps that's intentional because it's Aluminium)

    • Thanks for your comment. Our team will fix the input&output label. And you are right about the missing weight figure, the manufacturer did not provide this number. Enjoy your shopping at Milkr!
