THINNEST

Milkr is running an exclusive special on the world's thinnest power bank charger "Power Blade" from today.

At 5.2mm the “Power Blade” is the world’s thinnest power bank. The designers and engineers of the "Power Blade" believe the first step to truly innovating is to forget everything we know and open mind to fresh ideas. So they redesigned everything from the chipset to the screws, and case to forge a revolutionary blade like thinness. It is so thin that can sit snuggly in your ring binder ready at a moment's notice. When you see how it balances stunning looks with practicality and fairly high battery capacity of 8000mAh, you won't be surprised it won the German Reddot Design Award in 2013.

impressive but would rather buy a higher capacity one for less then half the price.

    • Thanks for your reply, it indeed is a very unique high-end product that may attract a small group of people.

Don't care how thin it is.
    Bottom line $96 for 8000mah???
    No thanks.

    • Thanks for your reply, it indeed is a very unique high-end product.

$170k for an M3 that does 0-100 in 4 seconds and has great handling?
No thanks. I'll stick with my pink Hyundai.

      :)

      • -1

no, it's 100k for an ISF and 20k worth of mods to get it under 4 seconds and the rest 50k you get to spend on hookers.

      • Here's the Hyundai .. aus stock Xiaomi 10400mah powerbank at $25.

For a quarter of the price, it just wrecked your M3 with better performance and better survivability.
Enjoy showing off your imaginary M3 and compulsively telling people how much you paid for it :)

Not everyone appreciates the extra things you get with an M3. Evidently you're one of them, and that's OK.

Just keep in mind that it is possible for people to have differing opinions to you. i.e. many, many people don't mind paying a bit more to get something other than a Hyundai even though they all get you from A to B.

        • @eug: and besides, no one in their right mind cross-shops an m3 with a hyundai

8000mah is not astounding, especially when you consider it's almost a hundred bux…

    • Thanks for your reply, it indeed is a very unique high-end product. Considering it's only 5.2mm thin, 8000mAh is a fairly high capacity.

  • +2

That's thin, but it's very big.

    • -1

Thanks for your reply, it indeed is a very different product.

  • +2

Wow lol. It is bigger than an iPad Mini. Why not call it Cover bank rather than power bank. Just use it as a cover.

    • wonder if that thing will eventually snap if its been carried in a backpack the wrong way, mishap etc.

      • Thanks to its aluminum alloy body, the “Power Blade” dose not sacrifice strength in the pursuit of thinness. The unique texture protects it from scratch and helps your blade stay as cool as possible.

        • +1

          scratch != snap.

Also, aluminium is both rather flexible and rather soft. It's certainly not a material to be proud of - I don't get why people feel it's premium over plastic. Yay, it's metal! Big deal.

At the quoted thickness, I'd expect it to flex quite easily - and potentially dangerously when you consider the contents are rather volatile.

      • +1

Na, it will just bend to match the shape of the new iPhone :-)

    • Thanks for your reply. It's funny, that's how people laughed at the first gen iPad when it was released. The designers and engineers of the "Power Blade" just try to Think Different.

      • +3

        Think Different.

        pretty sure thats trademarked ;)

  • +15

is it a very unique high-end product?

    • +7

      its also very different

      • +7

but will it attract a small group of people?

  • Can you please provide the dimension?

    • Thanks for asking. It's in the product page http://www.milkr.com.au/products/power-blade-8000mah-dual-ou… , Click the "Inside&out" section, you will see all the dimensions and other detailed information. But I would love to paste at here:
      Length: 213 mm
      Width: 140 mm
      Height: 5.2 mm
      Weight: 289g

    • It's thin millimeters thick, with unique width and high-end height.

The link in the OP tells us that

      ◦Length: 213 mm
      ◦Width: 140 mm
      ◦Height: 5.2 mm
      ◦Weight: 289g

  • wow, can't wait to see the smoke come out when it accidentally gets bent due to being uniquely thin

  • nearly $100 and they won't even include a couple of charging connectors e.g. micro usb + apple 8 pin?

    • Thanks for asking. "Power Blade" comes with a micro-USB to USB charging cable.
