Citizen Skyhawk Titanium Mens Watch $367USD + Shipping $37USD (Approx $498AUD) eBay $895USD RRP

20

This watch isn't for everyone but I just bought one. I love Citizen watches as they have Eco-Drive battery technology which means they charge by light, don't need battery replacement and have a life of at least 40 years.

This is $423.10USD on Amazon, has 4.5 stars out of 5 with 112 reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Citizen-JY0010-50E-Eco-Drive-Skyhawk-T…

The only bad thing about this watch is the glass isn't sapphire glass, so not as strong. But still as strong as your normal watch.

The radio technology won't work in Australia but I bought it because it looks great and is awesome.

It is more expensive at $430 on their own website http://www.jomashop.com/citizen-skyhawk-mens-watch-jy0010-50…

Also shipping is $97USD to regional QLD as opposed to $37USD via ebay.

I have bought from jomashop.com before. They are good. Not too sure on international warranty though. I think it goes via jomashop if any problems but I have never had a problem with any of my Citizen Eco-Drives. http://stores.ebay.com/jomashop/pages/jomashop-customer-serv…

Their shipping is quite fast too. Shipped with tracking and leaves normally within 1 business day.

Anyway it's not cheap but I think it is a great deal.

there is quite a bit of negative feedback for this eBay seller, including 'fake' watches! Also, no factory warranty.

    • I didn't read through the reviews. I saw 307 out of 35000 negative reviews. Anyway I think it's a good deal and I don't believe fake watches due to watch forums recommending this seller and because of this feedback; http://www.jomashop.com/testimonials.html

      • the website states: no manufacturers warranty because JOMASHOP.com is not an "authorized" dealer of the merchandise. I wonder why they are not authorised? For a big volume seller not to be authorised, sounds bad. where do they get stock from then?

When one of the Google search suggestions for "Jomashop" is "Jomashop fake" (161,000 results); you know you're screwed.

        I wouldn't touch this seller with a 10ft pole.

307 negative feedbacks in the last year is way too high. Genuine watch merchants on Ebay have nowhere near that.

There's also a lot of neutral and positive feedback on the internet, from people who are really into watches.

Here's a 'stay away from Jomashop' that turned into 'Jomashop customer service fixed everything up':
      http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/why-i-will-buy-jomashop-agai…

How credible are those eBay "fake" claims? If you only read the page titles from Google search results, you might see, "Thread: Fake Tissot from Jomashop - Watchuseek".

If you bother to click through to the post, you'd find out the OP updated it to clearly state "It turns out the watch is authentic. I had it looked at by two AD's with both saying it looked and felt (weighed) right."

Yes there is the warranty issue (a potential buyer should investigate what the exact situation is), but seller appears legit.

  • Navihawk is so similar and even cheaper.

    That ebay seller seems dodge.

Well I have bought only from the website, first time from ebay. But it's the same guys and their website has a number to call if required. Navihawk has a stainless steel design. So the alternative would be the stainless steel watch @ $280 plus shipping which isn't really close.

Concerning being dodge I don't really think so. Handling millions of watches and having some complaints is understandable.Time-paradise doesnt have the range of watches and they still have negative feedback and they handle only 11.4% of sales each year. Some of the complaints are: Postman left on step and it was stolen. etc.

I think it's a great deal and if I did run into any trouble I know I could resolve it.

But I do prefer the shipping policies of time-paradise though, being only $15

I've brought from these guys before and was a little sceptical at first, but when it arrived it looked the real deal and the weight was right. When I got it serviced at watches authorised service centre in Sydney they confirmed it was 100% genuine. So I have to say these guys are legit.
