It doesn't bare thinking where the 3rd might go…..

      • haha

  • Thanks mate.Bought one. Wife will be unhappy with the number of watches I am buying thanks to ozbargain.

  • Is Timex a reasonable brand ?

  • is the discount off one watch only? or can we buy heaps at 50% off? (It doesn't seem to say)

    • +1

It will apply to multiple watches in this particular promotion. One of the 3 Timex watches I bought wasn't in the promotion but it was cheap anyway. Don't forget free shipping with Amex if your order is USD100+

All my NATO straps are 22mm and the Weekender uses 20mm :-(

  • Yep can confirm stacks with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/170818 for free shipping on AmEx, and that the free shipping will still apply if your order falls back under US$100 after the discount, so long as it was $100+ before the coupon

In my experience, few repair places like dealing with Timex watches, and the importer who has a monopoly on their distribution and service is painful to deal with.

The repairers local to me could not replace the battery in my watch without losing the water proofing, so I sent it to the service centre in Sydney who broke the watch and put a half flat battery in it for 30 dollars, which I had to pay to see the watch again . it was flat 3 months later and I was up for another 30 bucks plus postage, bought a gshock 5600 for 50.

This was a while ago, since then I've stuck to Casio, which while more expensive, can be fixed and serviced everywhere and are better made and more reliable.

    • Similar experience, moved to Oz as the owner of 2 timex watches from the UK, $60 in batteries later I wrote them off and got a citizen eco-drive from Amazon USA for $126 shipped, no more batteries for me (well, when I go to the UK I use a company called Timpson who do a battery with lifetime free replacement for £12.95,take both watches with me and get new batteries for free every couple of years just in case)

      • Why so many batteries - or are you saying they are an odd size?

    • I had the same problem .. original repairs are a hassell … my watch had to be sent to Melbourne from Sydney to get a new strap

      • Yeap. Timex repair center in australia wont cover the warranty if we purchased from amazon us.
In the end i advised amazon on this and they refunded my purchase since the same item no longer available

  • Just bought 9 watches stacking with AMEX free shipping.

Thanks OP. that's some cheap christmas shopping.

  • Thanks OP. Was gonna buy a few things from Amazon anyway, so it was perfect timing to add a TIMEX weekender to make up the $100 free shipping.

For people who are purchasing a TIMEX weekender, you might want to check out the $5.36 strap as well:

  • Thanks for pointing it out

It seems if you select Amazon as the seller on the left then all the watches get the discount.

I ordered 6 for us$85 including delivery (had them sent to my Singapore address where Amazon ships for free anyway)

All my friends are getting watches for xmas!

  • Damn…I bought a Timex about a week ago. Code worked but after 20 minutes of watch searching it said expired. Ah well. 50% off is real good.

    • Code expired
"The promotional code you entered has expired."

  • mine said expired too :( missed the deal

    • Still site says "http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=10422543011" Take 50% off :)

      • On checkout, it is reported as "code expired".
There appears to be a problem with the system, the deal should expire on 7th december as stated on the main cybermonday deals page. However, the checkout system doesn't recognise the code. Amazon chat were not any helpful so don't bother.

Reddit is reporting mixed success with contacting Amazon support:

I talked to amazon support. They manually added the 50% after expiration.

          and

Through help chat, I got the discount. I had to give them the deal page link. Then they told me to go ahead with the order. Last, they edited the amounts down to a happy 50%.
I asked if the code would work again at some point and they said this: "If the code is showing on the website than it can be use. If it can not be redeemed on the website than please contact us we will help you with this."

        • @Thrift: The girl i talked to started off in that path, but when i sent the order number she told me i had too many watches (6) and she couldn't manually add it. Was disappointing going through that, and now my money is frozen till monday, or if worse tuesday.

        • @segaxavier: that's a pity. Maybe check back on 'Cyber Monday'.

  • Damn that was fast.

  • Glad i didnt hold of like i always do.

Good thing about Amazon is that you can easily cancel the order if it hasn't been sent to the warehouse for fulfillment if you change your mind

    • I am the same, always procrastinate and miss out, but bit quickly this time and ordered six

Now hopefully they turn up before xmas

      • initially estimated delivery time was 24th Dec. Then got an email that ETA is 17th Dec so happy with that

  • CRIES :'( How did you get notified of this deal?

  • Got my 2 watches today

And they also honored the price error of my 4 tubs of Amino Energy 60 Serves ($6 each) - Selling in AU for $60 each

    • im still waiting for mine :(

      iParcel says this:

      Aust post says this:
