    Awesome bargain, for something that tops the common lists of items never used.

      True,good stuff but not willing to do the wash up………….

  • The prep and the wash up, might as well just buy some juice :P

    • +1

      Might as well say that about every meal/drink made at home!

  • If you are into juice consider a cold press juicer - leaves the traditional high speed juicers for dead. By coincidence I just gifted the exact juicer in this deal to my mum 10 minutes ago. Once you try a cold press juicer (which can also be found cheaply if you hunt around) you'll never want a traditional juicer.

      I have the Oscar NEO DA-1000 and it's the best. Where as the juice that comes out of these go brown in minuets, the cold press juice is fresh and tastes like the fresh fruit it came from.

    Isn't juice out with soft drink now according to some nutritionists?

      If you juice the right things it's healthy

      If you are silly enough to buy something you won't use, you will probably feel some consolation in slagging the product off, to people you don't know, it would appear. : )

      We are onto out second BJE 410, this machines big Bro, and have been using them for our fresh morning juices for years. I wouldn't feel good about missing my morning heart starter, which helps making the 3 minutes or so washing up seem somewhat no big dealish.

      Dunno how good this one is though but most likely does the job.

  • Bought the larger model Breville BJE410 1200W 3 Litre juicer for $136 delivered at TGG: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111530976838

    Bought the BJE-400 for $5 at Salvo's. It's AWESOME! Made amazing juice this morning (as it so happens). Line the excess bucket w/grocery bag & dump into mulch. The rinse off of parts takes all of 5 mins.

    The quality of the juice cannot be matched by store-bought. We have a nearby "friut-shed" that always has huge, heavily-discounted bags of nearly-going-off fruit- which we snap-up & juice. Delicious & cheap-as! Not only cheap- but so much sweeter- the best. :)

    Cheers

    • $5?

      • +1

        Salvo's = Salvation Army Op-shop.

        Yes—> $5!

        Also picked up a Breville Cafe Cordless Percolater for $8.50. Time before that, as-new looking Logitech X-140 speakers for $3!

        Gotta love the ops!

        • wow. those are really bargain! is it any requirement to buy it those shops?

        • +2

          @ntt: You must have money

        • +2

          @ntt:

          The way to find good deals in the op-shops is to just stop in early & have a quick walk-through, on a daily or few days a week schedule. You can also ask if they get their stuff in on any particular day & be there (for larger items- they'll usually sell them right off the truck), otherwise the following day after they've sorted & tagged it all.

          I've gotten so many good deals at the ops that I really feel like I'm being scammed to shop at a regular forum any more. Even my kids (including the 15 yr. old daughter who is very concerned with her appearance) now prefer the ops because they get so much for the money. A for-instance: my daughter put together a really cute outfit for her school function & was told if they'd had a "best-dressed", she would have taken it hands-down. Total cost of entire outfit: $8.

          By contrast, the rest of the girls had the same ol', every-shop-sells-the-same-stuff look. The funny thing I find is that so many of the op's clothes are new (tags still on) or nearly-new from the same places other people are paying the rip-off prices to.

          Cheers :)

    • Jealous of you, you're living this/every Ozbargainer's dream.

    I have this juicer, confirmed it turns fruit into juice

  • Had this particular juicer before and the "pulp tank" gets filled up way before it fills up the juice tank. Clean up is b****!

    For about $20 more, I'd recommend just getting a cold press juicer like the cheapo Homeleader 150w from eBay (which is exactly the same as this juicer: http://www.froothie.com.au/store/optimum-juicer/optimum-slow…). Much much more silent and produces more juice.. it can even juice greens!

    • +1

      more silent???? either its silent or it produces noise. What's more silent than silent?

    • Looking into this one now. Do you have one of these Homeleader ones?

      Seems to be very little information available, however they certainly look to be the same product…

      • Yes we have one now and its working great for the price.

      • Kmart sells a cold press juicer for $79.

        Dunno how good it is though, I vetoed buying it and got the $99 Vitamix knock-off from Aldi…yup, the one that has the flying blades of death that puncture the container and shoot out like ninja stars (facepalm)

  • +1

    great price,,i saw yesterday, ordered and picked up today from auburn,,,just used it and it's great,,,the only thing is small pulp container,,,otherwise great

  • this juicer is very very noisy

    • Great for getting people out of bed!
