I've got this, it works fine with backtrack4 (for those who know what i'm talking about)

… but who really uses WEP anymore? Most people have already moved on to WPA2 + AES or at least WPA.

      • WPA-PSK is breakable dude

          not wpa-psk2

  • This is not a bargain as jennica had it for $10.99 the other day.

  • Kind of a random question but does anyone know if this can be set up in infrastructure mode? I'm looking for a cheap adapter to run as a temporary AP (instead of changing my main router to WEP) for when I want to use my DS over the net

  • Does anyone know whether this wireless adaptor can support playing games over lan without lag? Thanks.

  • im quite sure that would be no problems as all the new wifi adapters have infrastructure and ad hoc mode

  • Also, does it work with windows 7?

  • I purchased one of these the other day as it was supposed to be high gain.

My linksys WUSB54G wifi device with a smaller antenna picks up signals better.

    • try the windsurfer dude (just google "windsurfer antenna" and the design will come up) might boost strength, did for me

      • Thanks, i made one ages ago however forgot what they were called when i wanted to make another a while ago.
I will try it on the EDiMAX later

But it seems the linksys one i have is still better, i might mod that with a better antenna like i have been meaning to for a long time

        • fair enough dude :) btw did you get my PM? just wanted to make sure it went through

          • @Davo1111: I just got around to checking my emails and i have, thanks :)

  • Price gone up … I bought the exact same thing from 9289 for $22.99 delivered 3 weeks ago …

  • Price is slowly going up - was $25.99 earlier this morning, and now it's $27.99.
