I've been looking around for a while to buy one for a gift. For both this and the Cuisinart one the price is around $59 or more. The 2nd cheapest I saw was the Cuisinart round maker at The Home Depot for $54.95 but then shipping on top of that.

The Cuisinart one might be better?? But reviews of this one all seemed pretty good too. And this one makes love heart shaped ones :)

Also the Kambrook Hero snack waffle maker that makes waffle sticks is on sale for $35 at a few places but I just saw it for $25 at JB HiFi.

My partner and I have had waffles on the brain since we went to Gelare at Southbank in Brisbane.. so good.. but eat there 3 times and I've pretty much paid for this waffle maker. Christmas gift for partner - check. Waffles for me too - check.

    Here is the link to the only other deal where the Cuisinart one was a good deal for $54.95 rather than the usual $60 or more

    I have one of these and they make a nice waffle. The only problem is that it takes a while to serve everyone if you have a large family as it only makes a single waffle at a time.

        Technically yes, it makes 4 "hearts" at a time…
        But in my house… 4 hearts = 1 serve :)
        I have the model before this, still going strong.

    There's also the Ariete waffle maker. I'm not sure if it's any good. JB has it for $49 and Myer looks to have it on sale for $31? or "was $44.95 now $31061.55" if you look at their website.. lol

    Target sells one for $15, no idea about quality though.

    Waffle makers are great. I've had a moulinex for $20 years and it's still going. You can always make lots and freeze them, then pop them into the toaster when you feel like having some.

    thanks for the post, i will pick one up in store tomorrow (have $20 gift card from our regular fill-up @ local caltex servo, making this waffle machine at around $25!)
