  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Australian warranty with Samsung is 2 years.

    • Samsung Official website says 1 year for mobile computer - http://www.samsung.com/au/support/warranty/

Samsung Official website says 2 years for - MOBILE PHONE, TABLET, GALAXY CAMERA AND ACCESSORIES

        • That's great Bhot, for the community - a link would help awcyeung. Thanks.

Sorry awcyeung if I provided you with incorrect info, this is my first Samsung product, I haven't got it delivered yet, so I don't know what's in the packaging. LOL

        • Read your link Huntta. Looks similar to HTC warranty that is 1 year for grey imports and 2 years if bought thru Australian registered company in Australia and thus protected by Australian consumer protection laws. Your link does say Australia Only but does not clarify the above situation.

        • That's great Bhot, for the community - a link would help awcyeung. Thanks

No link required due to the one you thoughtfully supplied. One only needs to select MOBILE PHONE, TABLET, GALAXY CAMERA AND ACCESSORIES tab and not MOBILE COMPUTER tab as you suggested.

        • @rifter: Thanks

        • @Bhot: no link required it is - thanks for your comments and I really like the way you use capital letters. Once again - thank you for your informative comment Bhot. :-)

      • And, official Samsung documentation included in TGG delivered (received Wednesday) Tab S 10.5 says 2 years.

  • I bought a tab s from tgg and it has 2 years warranty

You just missed out on the good guys deal, $367 for 16GB

    • +3

You can always get a 16GB SD card too. So this isn't really much of a deal. COTD are only really good for free stuff.

      • +1

LOL, I guess COTD is not one of the most favourable online shopping websites by the mass. I hate COTD when they are doing birthday sales, you could never get through…a waste of time. Kudo to you sir.

on the SD card thing, I would definitely go with smaller internal SSD, only if all android apps run on SD cards, at the moment many of them will not. I have Sony Xperia Z2, and got my 128gb sd card on it, I was so disappointed when I tried to move most of my apps to sd card, only about 35% could be moved to the card. Until then, I prefer larger internal capacity on Android platform atm.

    • $350 with cash rewards

  • $367 from the recent TGG makes me very reluctant

  • got my 16gb from tgg sale via ebay.
    was $367 - 20% ebay promo - 5% Cashback.
received it the next day via post.. winning!
oh and heading overseas this week so I'll get the TRS back too

    • how often are they ebay 20% sales? every 2-3mths?

    • Don't forget the 50 bucks if you on 4g version. And also the chance to unlock the safe of Samsung aus.

  • Is this a good deal or should I just buy the TAB S 16GB from Officeworks for $472?

  • Don't know why you would bother with this. Get a surface 2 from hn for 298 instead with office and outlook

    • I already have a laptop and for my needs an Android tablet will just do fine for my needs.

      • Question is why would you pay over $200 more for an inferior tablet and then have to buy all the apps again when a surface will let you use the same apps for free that you already bought and have them sync with your pc?

    • +3

Perhaps because it uses windows rt?

Also you can't neg the deal on the basis you have.

  • I'm negging because its $200 more for an inferior tablet with a slow and buggy operating system that doesn't sync with your home pc.

  • Is the warranty 12 months with COTD and the remaining 12 months with Samsung AU? Are COTD reliable for honouring warranty?

    • Hey Smartshopper08, I don't think you will get the remaining 12 months with Samsung AU. If you're concerned about COTD as a seller and Samsung warranty. You might want to check out JB HiFi, as I'm replying to you, they are doing 15% off on selected tablets (Galaxy Tab S included), link below:
