Prime Day just around the corner.

    • What would be a good target price for a 2TB model for the Legion Go S?

Don't know if I should get the proper short model for easier (?) installation.

    • From what I know, Amazon discounts storage things earlier as these are very easy to ship, meanwhile, marks a wake-up call slowly towards the main Prime sale.

This is also decent, $140 locally

Turns to $186.67 at checkout if you have Amazon Business (no GST)

    • B2B still pay GST, its just irrelevant because businesses charge more GST on what they sell than they buy (unless they lose money). So everyone deals in ex-GST pricing.

Buy it from Amazon Business and let us know what you get charged ;)

From experience now or from remembering that issue that was resolved years ago?

This is a cheap senseless comment with no context or reference. Just a person yelling random words.

        Dey took our ssds!

I have two, the firmware update fixed an earlier issue where they degraded extremely fast, but compared to the SN850x they have degraded faster, 2-3% per year atm, whereas the SN850x still 100% after year 2. I'm sure its a compatibility with my systems, but the 990 pro has been the worst NVMe (well ok thats a lie a cheap SPData was the worst trash ever) I've owned (previous Samsungs were fine, and I don't know about the 9100) Even the temps haven't been great, looking at the stats, min temp 40c, max 74c avg 64c) this is the model with the cooler. Not a fan of this model. But sample size of 1 YMMV.

people be angry i dont give them 90 page documentation, when google exists

  • Vs this? Crappier brand but similar TBW and I can warranty at a store I can drive to?

Klevv is a solid brand tbh. I'd get the Klevv just for local warranty and it's cheaper. Especially if it's like.. Just for storage/game drive/ps5 whatever

(technically, it's too 'slow' for ps5 but.. Who knows in reality)

      • Thanks! Yeah just for whatever storage, not even gaming.

      • what you reckon if its used in a nas system for storage? i cant find anything that is affordable at 4tb

  • I find it funny as it says "Was: $240.37" and yet the current regular price is $267.08. Jacking up the regular price at the start of the deal to make the Prime only price look way better.

Also beware some sellers delaying delivery to 14 October. So there may be better deals coming in prime day/week.. And still deliver the same time

currently HDD/SSD prices are so strong that the deals are actually worse then before. In 2023, I bought 2TB Samsung 980pro, at $167. Now it is even more expensive.

  • Also good deal for 1Tb 990pro $130 and coupon minus 9% if buy 2.

It pains me that not even high end nvme drives like this are considered reliable anymore.

  • Mmmmmmm….. Just bought the 1tb from PLE for $179…

    Might get this deal instead.

  • Some cheap too good to be true 4TB for about $50 on Ali, people should be aware of
