This release has a 5 times distilled base spirit (as opposed to 3 for our last release), and more importantly we now use only the Australian rainforest native Aniseed Myrtle, not Aniseed or Fennel in our product. We are the first Absinthe in the world to do this. We also use Australian Lemon Myrtle instead of the traditional Lemon Balm in the colouring process.
So for those of you who tried our first release, which was a traditional French recipe using Aniseed, Fennel and Lemon Balm, this release will blow your mind and be unlike any other Absinthe you have ever tried before and utterly enticing, not to mention the now smooth as silk five times distilled base spirit.
This is a truly unique Absinthe born from the Australian Rainforests, yet still with the heart of any great Absinthe: Grande Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) and Petite/Roman Wormwood (Artemisia pontica), that we grow ourselves, we are one of a very few Absinthe distillers in the world that grow their own herbs.
