Sanyo 51cm Tv on Clearance at Target for $99.88

70

I managed to pick up a Sanyo 51cm TV on Clearance at Target for $99.88 (Big W sell the TV for $189.00) (specs below)I also believe they have a Rank Arena one for the same price.

Not Sure what stocks they have as it's a CLEARANCE ITEM but some stores only have display models (and they may give you an extra 10% off for display models) so may pay to call your local target before you head down their. The Key Code for the TV is 43033881 one of their staff should be able to look that number up to see what stock they have.

It's a nice tv and great for the kids etc…Even though the Analogue Network in Melb will be closing in 2013 you can hook a digital set top box and your'll be sweet.

And dont forget if you spend $100 at target you get a $10 voucher to spend during 8-10 to 14-10. I just bought a dvd I was after and received the voucher.

NOTE: this is a clearance item, so some stores may have no stock at all.

Happy Shopping

You can pick up working CRT TVs from road-side verges these days ;)

Actually I was going to throw out my 51cm crt. But decided to keep it in case i got a new room mate who didn't have one. Pretty heavy brick though

    • …and you are not wrong - I have seen at least a dozen of those lining up the street ready for hard waste collection!

    • and a used one might be much better quality - e.g. trinitron.
Unless its a widescreen CRT, nobody wants them.

  • can't believe it's still selling brand new. most likely Cash Converter trying to get rid tons of these by now.

  • Is it full hi def? lol

cash converters still would probably hit you up for $200 for one of these ;)

still good value for a new tv…even a crt

  • what's CRT? lol :P

      Cathode Ray Tube

  • The picture on the Sanyo site is very deceptive. There's no pictures from the side or back, and from the photos they show, it looks like a really thin model CRT, close in depth to an LCD. But then you look at the dimensions and see that it's as deep as it is high.
Still $90 is pretty good, if only they had a 34cm one.

Most of those old CRT's people are throwing away, or selling on ebay for $50, are bubble screens, not flat screen like this one. Looks pretty nice this model, and Sanyo's not bad.

  • I bought an MTV branded one for $199 about 2.5 years ago for my mum. But I'd be hard pressed to buy a CRT today, sure budget LCD's are still 4-5 times the price but you're getting something leaps and bounds more advanced and I'd rather that.

That's just me though, $99 is still a bargain and I'm voting accordingly. Nice find.

  • Need to get a set top box with this thing as well. This thing is analogue.

  • I love how the photos don't show the thickness…
