Phone of the year according to gizmodo !

    • It is really a great phone! :D

      • Hi rep, do you have dual sim too with offer.

  • +4

Best phone, however be sure to pick up some spare removable batteries!

    • Is that because battery life is bad?

      • +1

        No, it's considered average.

Pick up extra batteries, because you can replace them when you need! (-unlike iPhones or HTCs or Sonys etc.)

      • +1

It's average. When looking at what consumes the battery, with my frequent usage, the screen is consuming around 40%.

But coming from LG G2, it's noticeably worse.

Doesn't matter though. Picked up at spare battery for $10-$15 on eBay.
Never actually had to use it, but keep it in my wallet if I know i might need to use it.

      • The battery life is not bad at all. Havent had the need for a backup battery as long as you can charge once a day. Definitely lasts a day with moderate use.

    • battery life is great on lollipop CM12 roms. 4hours SOT and 20+ hours between charges. Pretty awesome.

  • according to their specs:

    Cardslot: MicroSD (up to 2TB)

    • You can use SDXC cards I have a Samsung EVO in it

can you stack coupon codes with them?

  • +4

Please, due to all the previous electronics deals, I am now poor. I will NOT buy this…. Please.

    • You are not my true brother.

    • You have only one life, enjoy it!

  • Hi everyone, thanks for your support!
Now you can use a coupon code: LGG3XMAS instead to enjoy the same $10 discount for LG G3! :D

    • Hi rep,
Is it possible for you to do a deal on the HTC One M8?

    • Hey Rep, same here want the M8 pls pls

    • Please can you advise the delivery time to Metro melbourne

  • Just in time, my Nexus 4's battery is beginning to show its age… can't even get 8 hours out of it on normal usage nowadays :(

If anyone's used / is using this as their daily driver, how many hours roughly can you get out of normal usage?

    • +1

Average 3.5hrs screen time for me with 40 hrs time on battery. Its night and day coming from the nexus 4, the nexus only managed like 1.5hr screen time and had to be charged every.

Only minor gripe is wireless charging doesnt work too well with the ringke slim case on, phone complains about slow charge. Obviously this issue will vary between users and charger.

    • +1

With minimum brightness and light web browsing I've gotten more than 8 hrs of SOT. With max brightness and heavy use, I get about 3.5 - 4.5

    • Copypasta from my post on the topbuy deal

Bought one from DWI last week. Was about the same price, ordered Tuesday, had it in my hand the following Tuesday. It is currently $515 including shipping.

Upgrading from a Note II, my thoughts for those interested
      * Screen is amazing (to my eyes), although not as good for outdoor viewing as the NII.
      * Seems to be noticeably snappier than the NII for most things. I imagine once 5.0 is released it will be better again (can't be bothered with custom 5.0 just yet).
      * Friendlier overall size than the Note but with the same size screen.
      * Battery is better than what I expected. Currently at 54% at the end of a very busy day (4hr 20m voice calls, 1hr 42m screen on, 1 push email acct, 1 imap acct, 2 gmail acct)

Would I buy it again? Yeah, but I had the Note II for almost 2 years and wanted something new and shiny. The G3 wouldn't be enough of a jump for me to recommend to non-techy people who already have a similar spec phone from the NII generation.

I personally wouldn't buy from them after their frustratingly lengthy refund process which required me to contact PayPal's resolution centre. I won't go into the details, but long story short, PayPal acted in my favour given my product was defective, and requested DWI to refund me the full amount after they had refused to do so based upon no evidence or investigation whatsoever. But i did have to send the defective product back at my own expense. If you want to buy a mobile, beware of the risks that come with grey imports, might end up costing you more :\

    • +4

i agree, unless the saving is at least 300 upward, not worth the risk

  • I believe they charge extra if you use PayPal

    • There was a 2% surcharge when i used it approximately 2 months ago.

      • Still 2% 2days ago, when I checked

  • No PayPal no sale for me

Finally a deal for the 32GB, no more ppl complaining 16GB model with 2GB RAM is shit. LOL.

  • Will the tempered glass screen protector reduced the touchscreen responsiveness?

    • Nope. Its definitely better responsiveness and feel than plastic film.

      • which brand do you use?

        • Nilkin. But I feel there's not much difference between brand and non-branded…just nicer packaging

        • @hippo2s: some phones react differently to glass screen protector, it will make the responsiveness worse than with film protector.

        • I can vouch for bruedon, same/similar ebay price as nillkon with the plus of it being aust seller so no need to wait too long.

As for brand and non brand, I've gone through 2 non brands across various phones and both had issues with poor adhesion around the edge. 1 I got sent a new one which was better but still lifted around the edge, the other started off OK but now lifting off like hell and doesn't feel good (worst than plastic screen protector). Also leaves finger print marks even though it's advertised and oleophobic (however you spell it). Don't have any of those issues with the bruedon.

        • @zorrt: cheers, thanks. might give broden a try:)

        • @zorrt: btw, does the nillkin or bruedon have a gap in the top part of the glass? or is it precise cut?

        • @zan123: the bruedon has a cutout for the speakers and the 2 sensors however it covers the front camera. I didnt do a before and after photo to see if it affects the camera though but im sure it would darken the images a bit.

        • @zorrt: ok, does the bruedon looks like this?
          http://postimg.org/image/kwg2the3d/

their listing on ebay shows a lazy cutout which has wide gap at the top.

        • @zan123: has the wide gap at the top

        • @zorrt: thanks, bruedon himself doesn't want to answer this question when asked on eBay. Should have known.

Except payments by Direct Deposit, a surcharge of 2% will be added to your order paid with PayPal - They charge $10 more for paypal, unless you do direct deposit. The discount offer is just enough to compensate the surcharge.

I own this phone - I bought it from DWI 7 weeks ago and have the LG G3 crack issue.
    http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/lg-g3-owners-complain-of-…

DWI are denying fixing it under warranty and I have argued with them and they still deny its an issue.

I would not purchase a phone from them if there customer service for RMA/warranty doesn't improve.

    • Even in that report LG wants customers to contact them directly. Have you tried LG Australia?

Thankfully i dont have this issue.

but you'll get $10 off for subscribing newsletter

Total add up to $496 delivered, and the 2.5% cashback from cashrewards makes it to $483 delivered.

    • Topbuy has a poor rep

      • nope, got mine in less than a week via DHL. properly packed and no issue with the phone. Why pay more if you'll get the same thing.

  • Would I be able to use TRS with items purchased from DWI?

    • nope, its a grey import.

  • I love how they say the cracking issue is not covered by warranty. Can they legally optout of a warranty issue in this case?

  • Nice price I paid $598 for it

  • Is this model fully compatible with all Australia networks?

  • does this phone support Vodafone's 4G network?

  • Bought the phone and am now trying to find a program to root it. The usual suspects don't seem to be working as it is an unusual build number KVT49L.A1413270500.
Has anybody had any joy with rooting and installing a custom rom?
