Take Control with the 2.4 GHz Controller
The Combat Creatures TerraDrone RC drone comes with a handheld controller that puts you in command of this mobile Nerf shooter. The 2.4 GHz controller has directional buttons that move the Nerf creature forward, backward, and side-to-side, to maneuver the drone into battle position. The controller also has buttons to change the direction and angle of the dart launcher on the creature's head. You can turn the head 360 degrees and adjust the head's elevation to aim it toward your target. With the easy-to-use controller, you can keep the TerraDrone blaster right on target.
Unleash Rapid-Fire Dart-Blasting
This head of this Nerf creature is a dart-firing blaster that shoots 12 Elite darts up to 45 feet. Load the darts into the launcher and move the Nerf drone into battle. You also cannot choose to aim up or down — there is a single button which causes the gun to swing up / down fairly slowly. So if you overshoot, you will have to press the button and wait for the gun to cycle going up and down again. Ugh.
Takes about 3 second delay to fire a shot. You won't be hitting moving targets with this — also the range of the darts seem to be fairly inconsistent, one will shoot fairly far and the next one is like half that range.
You also can't strafe, the hexapod legs will move only in the direction the gun is facing. Slowly. And if you try to aim and move at the same time, the motors slow to a crawl as it can't draw enough current from the batteries.
The legs could do with a bit of modification — maybe non-slip rubber pads, because there seems to be a lot of slippage when it tries to walk.
It's a fun toy for about half an hour, then you just get bored of it and it gets sold on Gumtree.
