    • Do you think the price will last for another 8 hours? That's all it'll take me to drive over.

      • When the price gets low enough we can run a pipeline from Seaford back into Adelaide…

        • What about a pipeline from Seaford to Seaford (VIC) ? That's only a 50 min drive from me.

        Ah, thanks for that !
Sorry first time posting, felt like a good price so couldn't help sharing. Cheers!

    • THey've slowed down oil production over the weekend, in response to the massively reduced demand. So I say stock up on cheap fuel as best you can.

    • U95 is also under $1 which is one of the best price in recent months

      • +25

one could argue Perth is already 20 years behind everyone

        • +11

          I'm from Perth. Can confirm.

        • -4

          In petrol pricing, yes.
Everything else, na we have caught up.

          • @adrianhughes1998:

Everything else, na we have caught up.

            Even covid19 cases?
Hope we never "catch up" on that one

            • @tdw: Probably the one thing no state should catch up. Or country for that matter.

          • +10

@adrianhughes1998: Hilarious how much I got downvoted here.

Eastern States folks think they're so good when it comes to their food, their coffee, their way of living.

We don't have tolls in Perth cos our ring highways are well managed. Lot of our suburbs close to the beach. Decent cafes and nightlife opened up in the city and surrounds the last few years. Extended trading hours.

Cheaper housing than most of the country. We can actually afford a four bedroom house unlike Sydney for example, which costs nearly a million bucks does it not.

Ten years ago, yeah I'd agree Perth was behind. Now we are not.

            • +2

@adrianhughes1998: Just don’t expect daylight savings, hey?

              • +1

@WreckTangle: why would you want daylight time saving, it sux!

              • @WreckTangle: Daylight savings was absolutely painful they had it for two years here. Sunset at the beach at 9pm? Gaaa!

            • +5

@adrianhughes1998: Couldn't agree more… To add another couple of items, WA has:

              • Better public open space
              • Lesser traffic.
            • +5

@adrianhughes1998: IMO only thing about Perth is drivers cannot merge, Eastern states people seem to be driving faster, more aggressively, tighter lanes and generally no merging issues

    • I don't see any PULP 95 prices. Do they sell it?

      • +1

Nope. Costco only offer 91 and 98.

      • Just use 98, that beats PULP 95 anyways…..

        • Lol you fell hard for the marketing didn't ya. My car has hard starts on 98 and actually gets worse fuel consumption on 98. It's specced for 95 so that's exactly what it gets.

          • @tdw: That's….curious….shouldn't do that since 98 is a higher grade fuel, or at least it's advertised as higher grade…it's akin to using fully synthetic oil compared to mineral oil as your engine oil(Unless your car is older than 1990)…with semi synthetic being 95.

I believe fuel consumption is mostly dependent on driving style, but 98 should last longer than both 91 and 95, assuming same conditions.

            • @Zachary: i tried all variants of 98 RON — shell v power, caltex vortex and bp ultimate.

"higher grade" doesn't make it suitable for every car. not every car is a performance/tuned car that would benefit from it. and those "added detergents" the fuel companies are always carrying on about aren't proven to clean out our engine either, just your wallet.

              • @tdw: I see, so unless your car is tuned for 98 or 95 specifically, there's no point even for the extra kms on the tank or the cleaning feature of it and just stick with the cheaper 91….but better quality fuel is more environmentally friendly than lower quality right? Or is that wrong too?

    • +3

Costco Perth Airport fuel station opening times:

      Opening Hours
      Mon-Fri 06:00am-09:30pm
      Sat 06:00am-07:30pm
      Sun 07:00am-07:00pm

Just a reminder, as I found out the hard way the other day…

    • +1

I arrived to Perth as an international student in 1999. What a flashback

    • Does anyone notice that Costco fuel burns faster than other fuel?

      • Unless you pumped e10. Otherwise it should be the same since Costco sources their fuel from Mobil.

      • I use Costco petrol and diesel and have found no difference when I fill up at Costco or other stations. There is always a natural variation of a few percent in fuel use depending on how you drive, the traffic, the trips you took, and how soon the pump cut off.

      • +1

Nope. One of my cars is fussy on fuel and has starting issues on Costco 98, but the other is fine with it, fuel economy unaffected.

      • Anyone with experiences with 91?

    • 98 still 20c/l more expensive than 91? Wasn't the difference closer to 10c/l at these prices or am I just remembering wrong?

    • Will the helicopter method work guys? Need freighter ASAP!

      • +2

Brah this is costco not 7 11

        • You're the only one who got the joke lol. Upvoted!

    • +1

got down to 64.9 in Adelaide over night. jumped back up now though

    • cheaper from Caltex 4c discount from Woolworth or Toyota or Hyundai app. And 5% off gift card + don't need pay annual fee.

      • Caltex Scarborough 85.9c without discount and with 4c discount then 81.9 then with 5% gift card the price went down to 77.8c. It is cheaper than Costco and no annual fee

        • That shop does not have 4c from woolworths.

          • @FullPrice: well then 4c from my toyota or Hyundai app. Because today is Friday. Most patrol stations are at a higher price. Wait until Monday or Tuesday. Most station with woolworth discount are cheaper than Costco

    • Thx OP , saved lots compared to average of $1.26 at others for 98

    • +1

      e10
      Marsden Park - $0.78.7
      Casula - $0.77.7

Thanks to ElevenMe and Freighter app creators

    • Costco had it for this price for quite some time now.

      • Yea, I notice that too
Feel sad that I live near Ringwood Costco and this costco has no fuel station next to it
The closest Costco fuel station (Moorabbin) is 20km away from my home :(

  • why does VIC get their own thread but 4 states have to share this thread?

  • Merged from [WA] Unleaded U98 Fuel $1.599/L @ 7-Eleven, Midvale
    Go to Deal

    159.9 at 31.8860° S, 116.0335° E. Enough said.

    (apparently need 10 words….so guess not…)

This seems more like a downward trend than a special. So maybe hold on a little longer if you don't need fuel now.

    • You can also use the 7-eleven app to lock the price for 7 days

      • Can the locked price be used on any 7-11 servo?

        • Says it can be used at any, but I believe you have to be within a certain radius of the specific servo to get the price.

    • -1

This is a normal drop, not a deal.

      • It's a deal if you live in Queensland….

        • Exactly. Thanks OP!

    • Get to the choppa!

Trends seem to be naturally heading this way not a bad price if you need 98 but 91 is at 139.9 which is pretty good in the current climate as well

    • -1

This seems more like a downward trend than a special.

Then it’s not a deal. Just spam.

      • I can see that viewpoint, but I also didn't realise it's a trend when I first posted. I added that comment in a later edit.

With these things, they're often time sensitive, so I posted it before checking all the finer details regarding trend.

    • When the price is 182.9 in the ACT, it's a deal.

    • +3

I agree, this is a downward trend not a deal. Respect the op for trying but doesn't warrant a neg imo.

    • This is a deal for me. The best in my area (north west sydney) is 207.9 I saved a pic in my settings but I don’t know how to upload as a comment.

  • Merged from [WA] Unleaded U91 Fuel $1.389/L @ 7-Eleven, Cockburn Central

    GET TO THE CHOPPER!

$1.389, about 60c/L cheaper than the helipad near me.

Unfortunate about the name. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!

    • +5

      It's a bit sad that]$1.39 is now a bargain
