Planet Of The Apes - Primal Collection (8 Films) [Blu-ray] £23.57 ($45) Delivered @ Amazon UK

60

Take your stinkin' paws off me, you damned dirty ape!

Just coming down from £55 high, a decent price given JB HiFi sell the seven film set for $89. They have the same eight films for $159 but hey, you get a big head of Caesar in that one which would come in handy.

This deal of the day ends tomorrow!

Includes:
'Planet of the Apes' (1968)
'Beneath the Planet of the Apes' (1970)
'Escape from the Planet of the Apes' (1971)
'Conquest of the Planet of the Apes' (1972)
'Battle for the Planet of the Apes' (1973)
'Planet of the Apes' (2001)
'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' (2011)
'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' (2014)

There is one Amazon review which is worth noting.

Seen them all apart from the latest one which is high up on the to watch list. All are good in their own right but the original 1968 film is definitely my favourite and I'm not generally a fan of many movies from this century but Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) was surprisingly great, too. Putting aside the Tim Burton 2001 cash grab, this is an awesome price for the complete collection!

  • There is another as yet untitled planet of the apes sewual in the making to be released in 2016. As we all know there will also be another box set with released adding the next film in the franchise. Its up to you if you decide to buy this set or wait till there are definitely no more planet of the apes films being made.

Loved all the movies except the 2001 reimagining of the original film. Haven't seen the latest one yet. But do have the original 6 disc special edition box set containing all the original 5 movies and bonus features disc.
This is a good price for the movie only blu-ray box set containing all the current Planet Of The Apes films. @ around $5.65 a film. Just not sure if its worth upgrading to the Blu-ray versions of the films?

It's impossible to say if they ever will stop making them as time is infinite and even if they do, can just add each additional Blu-Ray to the collection. I have them all in digital download format, encoded by various uploaders at different bitrates but to see them all in their 1080p Full HD, Surround Sound glory will be something else and at this price it is more than worth it so I pulled the trigger on this one. Cheers to 'Oldbugger' for the heads up!

  • Latest one is by far the best with the recent takes
