For those of you with older TVs that do not have built in wifi. Saw this at Myer North Lakes in the clearance section. Red sticker read 59.95 now 40.
Snapped a photo and when I got home hit the Myer website and found its on clearance there too. Not just an in store thing.
Anyhow, could be a cheaper alternative to a new Smart TV for those of you who have an older set or gaming console that has a lLAN connection but no wifi.

  • Got one of these as a gift 2years ago. Works great with the tv, easy setup, was looking for one more to connect the av receiver.

    Confusing name, as it has no video capability. Its just a wifi client.

    I just use an old $20 router in extender mode. 7 ethernet ports.

    The only advantage I see of this device is the dual band, for people who have interference problems in 2.4GHz. e.g. city apartment dwellers.

    Got two of these, one worked well for a while then stopped connecting to my wifi, the other was always undependable. I think there is a newer version than this. I recommend giving this a miss. Also remember seeing this on COTD for $35 a while back.

    Myer Tea Tree Plaza had a few of these at this reduced price in their clearance trolley the other day with a further 75% off making it $10.
