Nice - awesome price! If I hadn't just purchased two Astone AP-300's I'd be all over this like Oprah on a baked ham! ;)

  • 31 left in stock so the web site says

  • Dodgy "stock level" status on this website - you cannot rely on it. I ordered one when the stock level said 4 in their fulfillment centre. I went through the complete registration and order process, paid for the item and got an email saying my order had been received and was being "processed". Checked immediately after and the counter had dropped to 3 "in stock", and later they were out of stock.

Just under 4 hrs later I got an interestingly worded email saying the item was "discontinued" and they wanted to discuss a replacement with me, and that if they didn't hear from me in 7 days they would cancel my order. I have just replied that I do not wish to cancel my order and asked them to supply me what I paid for.

Same problem here, and I've encountered the same thing with HT before now as well. I even called the ACT store to confirm my order, and to get them to send me one from their stock in case there was none in central distribution. They assured me all was OK but 3 hours later got the "out of stock" email. Not much point complaining though - if they're sold out, they're sold out. I now consider my HT orders to be an attempt at ordering, rather than a confirmed order, even if their stock levels indicate stock availability. Oh well!

      • not sure I feel like backing down so easily! Don't see why other sites seem to manage real-time ordering and these guys cannot. Don't think I will attempt their online site again, it is frustrating, time-wasting and unreliable. I'll see how this pans out.

      • yeap this episode happened to me before, especially at the ACT store. I think they (employees) realised how good a deal it is and snatch up themselves! I wrote in and complained and got an apology over the phone but that was about as far as it went.

        • Have to agree with all the above its really annoying when you spot a good deal and it shows 1 in stock you confirm & pay over the phone even they take you credit card and deduct the funds and call you back to say it was sold a few days ago argghhh they need to get a new system for sure

im still not a rep for HT

  • its a great deal… wish i got on to one :(

  • I walked into Osborne Park & picked up two first thing this morning (to replace my two SB3s). There were still several on the shelf, though I was beating down the door when they opened, so I don't know how long they lasted. BARGAIN price & many thanks to bctransit for the heads up!!

    • wanna sell one? :-)

  • Nah, but thanks for the offer ;-)
The SB3s (or at least one of them) will go in due course, but probably already have a new home for it I'm afraid!
