iOS Leo's Fortune $1.99 Was $6.49

120

Leo's Fortune is a visually stunning game and winner of the App Store Best of 2014 and 2014 WWDC Apple Design Award. This is the cheapest it has been, but unfortunately not as cheap as the drop in the US store to 0.99c. Still better than paying $6.49.

Enjoy it at this price. Definitely worth the $2.

  • Good game

  • Bough it… good game

  • Goodreader and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 are also $1.99 each.

  • There appears to be a bit of a pricing shift with aussie ios app pricing in the last few days, most games that are showing as $1.29 on appshopper.com are coming up as $1.99 instead when I go to buy them, but it doesnt happen with them all, just some. App shopper seems to do the conversion to Aussie pricing based on US pricing, but then the app is being priced at the next price point for some apps being sold in Australia so appshopper prices are often incorrect now.

    I wonder what the story is.

    • Aussie dollar losing value, Apple being greedy

      • Yeah, but I dont think this is a general Apple pricing change otherwise we wouldnt still be seeing apps at $1.29, it seems to be more that a lot of developers are now pricing aussie sales at the next price point from $1.29 by going to $1.99

        Im wondering if Apple have been suggesting that devs now sell at the $1.99 price point to Aussies.

        • Yeah have no idea how it works, I don't buy too many iOS games, usually works out cheaper buying Android version. :P Like GTA: Chinatown Wars $3.79 vs $6.49 etc.

          @Ronnnie:
          You should get an account on Appshopper.com and add any games that you want to your wishlist and then when they drop in price they will let you know (or when they go free or are updated). For instance Chinatown wars has been $1.29 quite a few times in the past for iOS(I think I picked it up at that price). http://appshopper.com/games/grand-theft-auto-chinatown-wars

        • I sure hope not. I was disappointed when they raised the music prices to $2.19 per track. Seems the Australia tax is strong with this one.

        • @halo9:

          The $1.99 price point for aussies seems to be mainly being applied to apps that have dropped in price by quite a few dollars. Whereas apps that have only dropped a dollar or two are more likely to be at the $1.29 pricepoint. Certainly something seems to have changed with regards to aussie pricing not being in line with US pricing on some apps that are 99c in the US (yesterday I think).
