Really can't work out how to change a new $30 starter SIM with only $10 to make it a $40 recharge. Can the starter pack be loaded with anything other than the $30, to get the bigger bonus minutes and data?

Just buy a $2 Standalone SIM and recharge with any denomination you like.
Not for the first month, but after that expires you can recharge $40.
I have read (on whirlpool) where people have asked the telstra chat to charge their CC with 10 dollars to achieve this.
I wonder if the shopfronts could do it also ?
I may try this within a few months myself…will be happy if possible.
