Best Value eReader?

Hi, what's the best value basic ereader out there?

Don't think I need anything too spiffy — (I think) I would be happy with something simple like a kindle touch but that seems to no longer be available in Australia!!…

Thanks =)

  • We all have Sony TR-2 and 3 units and love them. 4 of them in our family. Not sure if they are still available though? We picked up the last two for $78 each from Target.

  • I have Kindle and Kobo e-readers. Either one would suit you. There are always deals out there, eg, JB HiFi will sell you a KoBo mini for $50. I prefer the Kindle because you have access to an amazing amount of free material. There are plenty of secondhand Kindles and KoBos around because of the new models always coming out.

  • +1

    Buy a Kindle Paperwhite when they're on special, latest model if possible. It's far from the lowest price, but it's heaps better than the other units I've owned.

  • +1 to the Kindle Paperwhite. Test one of them out and see it for yourself. Grab the ad supported version if you want to save a few dollars, some like the ad supported version as it gives you some deals from time to time and suggests books that you may otherwise not come across.
