Great game, one of the all-time classics. Much better than that poor attempt at milking the series… There's mods available at Simtropolis. Take the "How Long to Beat" with a grain of salt, it's really not accurate with this type of game.
Maxis showed me my inner sadistic person by showing me my trigger happy nature when it comes to summoning UFOs and tornados for no apparent reason whatsoever.
Useless comments aside, I've heard from people that Sim City 4 has problems with multi-core CPUs. So if you have problems, I've heard that creating a shortcut and putting -CPUcount:1 helps. I got how to do this from a Simtropolis Forum thread.
