With a quick Google search I couldn't find any cheaper price. The email says it's for the new Ambit 3, it doesn't say it'll work with other Suunto watches.

10% off RRP isn't a deal considering other places (such as Highly Tuned Athletes) have it for less as a everyday deal.
Word of warning for people considering this watch, it is not ANT compatible (Only Bluetooth Smart compatible), meaning if you have invested money into ANT sensors in the past, they will not work with this watch. In addition, with the Garmin Fenix 3 about to be released (which has a greater range of features than the Ambit 3), this watch represents poor value at this point in time.

Good info, thanks. I looked up Highly Tuned Athletes, compared the Ambit 3 Sport, they currently have it for $373 with free postage. More expensive compared to this promotion but otherwise their standard prices seem better, thanks for the link.

it's a good deal for a Ambit 3, though the lack of ANT support means it is quite expensive to get sensors to pair with the watch (such as a foot pod for example), especially as Suunto don't have any that they sell themselves that are compatible with the watch.
On a budget, I would recommend the Ambit 2 over this watch as a result, which is virtually the same watch internally just with ANT support, however it doesn't come with smartphone connectivity. If you can look past that, it's available for $350 online for the top Ambit 2 model with HR strap, compared to the $515 here.
I'm no expert on this (I just randomly came across the watch and the above offer), but Suunto do make a compatible heart rate sensor that's included with some of the watches in the link above. They use Bluetooth for their own-brand sensor, and from what I read the watch with work with any Bluetooth Smart sensor. Yeah it doesn't use Ant but these days Bluetooth seems just as common as Ant. Obviously this watch isn't for you unless you invest in a new sensor. And I don't see these watches intended as a budget device, and Garmin's Fenix 3 even less so :-)
Just trekd Nepal with ambit 2hr. These are far better than competing gps watches for lock time etc. battery life was fantastic recording sec by sec data
Can't speak highly enough for suunto, although an offline/ non HTML based data viewer would be welcomed.
Anyone know where I could find the cheapest Suunto Core All Black?
Or perhaps the same one worn by Denzel in The Equalizer? :D
