Rack rate for two rooms at Manta Bargara 5 star hotel is $1100. Save $900.
Personalised Bundy Rum. Let's be generous and say it's worth a bottle of Grange Hermitage. $500. Save $4500.
Privately hosted tour of distillery with a master distiller. Maybe an hour. if he works a 38 hour week, then his time is probably not worth $38,000 a week. Let's be generous and say is is worth $200. Save $800.
Bundaberg Rum Tasing & Food Pairing session. Again, let's be generous and say at a restaurant you would pay $400. Add another $500 for an amazing chef to cook on site and say they threw in a whole bottle (not just a sample) of the $1250 sold out edition. Just over $2000. Save $5000.
So the prize is overvalued by more than $11,000 and probably closer to $15,000 in real terms. It's enough to drive you to drink.
