[Daiso] 3DS Charging Cable $2.80

111

Instead of buying a new adaptor for the new 3ds models, this usb cable sold at Daiso for $2.80 is a reasonable replacement. I bought the one pictured although they also have another white/black cable available, and it works fine.

Btw i bought mine from the parramatta Daisol

They are a buck on eBay though you'll have to wait for it to be delivered.

And $3 dollars if you want it from an Aussie seller.

  • I don't know how this is a "replacement" for a charger with cable. It's a replacement for a cable. As @scrimshaw mentioned, these cables can be bought for as little as $1 on eBay. Indeed, you can buy a cable WITH WALL WART for $3.47 delivered .

That's ridiculously cheap, but the quality will be shocking. Heh. Shocking.

      • Nicely-played sir, nicely played.

    • Maybe replacement is not the right word. Alternative might be better? Either way i dont use my adaptor anymore and given its USB prob handy to have anyways?

    • WITH WALL WART

Wall wart? I think I'll steer clear of those, sounds nasty.

      • At Daiso, the cream to treat it will only cost $2.80

I thought everything at Daiso was $2.80?

Big w sell the generic 3ds adapters for $9 too if you'd rather that.

  • +1

This is the regular price, I purchased mine from there last year ($2.80 as mentioned above)

      1. It's cheaper than any other physical local retailer.
      2. How long the price has been available is irrelevant so long as it hasn't be posted before.
      3. Your neg is not valid.
    • Why did you not let the others know?

      • Would you like me to list every product available at Daiso for $2.80? (tip: it's all of them)

        • So why negging someone who lists something useful? How many people know they sell these cables?

  • These supply too much voltage to the thing (5v instead of 4.6 or whatever) so use at your own risk

    • +2

The device self regulates the voltage and amperage so no risk. I have been using a USB adapter on my DSi, 3DS, 3DS XL and New 3DS XL all of which are issue free.

      • Didn't know that! I had one for my DSi but it took like all friggin day to charge.

You got ripped off, they are $2.80 and it's their normal price, no savings…

Sorry. This is my first post here, and although its not really a 'deal' per say but just wanted to let people know of the alternatives to buying an adaptor with the new 3ds systems. I bought the adaptor and over the last 4 days since i bought the cable i dont use the adaptor anymore.

      $2 shop is 29% cheaper…

      • +3

Except when's the last time you saw a $2 shop where everything in there for sale was $2?

        • +2

After the GST was introduced, the $2 shops turned into $2.20 shops in my local mall.

I don't know how they got it back to $2 though. Maybe they had to eat the GST themselves?

          @lostn:
Last time I saw $2 shop being $2 was like 15 years ago. Since then, these shops either closed down or changes to "Almost Everything $2" then to "Bargain Shop".

Those are the Daiso Corporation run stores, there are also franchise stores, in Melbourne at least http://www.daisostore.com.au/

      Same price ($2.80) per item

  • this is probably the cheapest you can get. good price.
edit: woops I should have read all of the other comments first.

  • Pretty sure they have sold this charger ever since they opened.

  • When did Australia get a Daiso?

    • in 2010 sparky….

    • A Daiso?

There are 3 just in the Melbourne CBD alone.

      At least 10 in Victoria..

At least 22 across Australia (corporate stores).

  • You get you pay for i bought some micro usb cables last year from daiso Shinjuku, the wire is such a low grade despite what charger i use my lg phone will only charge in slow mode.

  • I do find these more convenient, without the bulk of the AC charger. It does mean I have to play near my PC, but that's where I prefer to play anyway.

  • Can't charge the New 3DS XL when you're using it (i.e screen on).
The charge lamp just flashes erratically. Have 2 N3DS XL and 2 different USB cables.

Bought 2 OEM chargers for $14 each. Better choice for $9 extra.

    • Are you serious? So you can't charge while playing if you're using a USB cable?
